I don't own one and do not have plans to own one but I know a lot of people are using china phones these days specially in my country. Top reason would be the price. You can get your hands on the latest model at a fraction of the cost. Also most of these phones has dual sim card capability so you can have two networks in one cellphone. That makes it very attractive to consumers. But here's the trouble, it has very poor quality. Some of my friend's phones can not receive calls anymore and some of the features no longer work like the camera and other features. For me it's just a waste of money because eventually you will end up discarding it and it's not durable so you would have to buy another cellphone. What do you guys think?

I definitely agree with you. China phones are a waste of money regarding reliability, poor quality and durability. But not all china phones are like that. Granting they are just copied models from the most known mobile makers, they deliver the primary use of a mobile phone quite at par, which is call and text. In a way, it is somewhat a relief that it is manufactured. Primarily, anyone can have a mobile phone! The mere fact that connectivity with your loved ones for a relatively small cost is acceptable. Don't you agree? And in our country, where snatching of mobile phones are rampant, a china mobile phone is nothing to cry over. But for those who are looking for original mobile phones, myself included, I would not even think of buying china made mobiles. Because I go for the best...for as far as my money permits.

Actually I feel the same way. It really irritates me. I mean, if people don't want to buy expensive phones, then why not buy original but cheap ones? Quality should really not be ignored over appearance, because like what you said, it just wastes money. They're really not worth it because you'll have to buy another when it's damaged. And it's funny that those China phones have TV, and with antenna too. Haha. Good day :)

In India these phones were a craze. Because you could get the latest technology mobiles at throwaway prizes. Then the government came up with a stand due to some security vulnerability in these mobiles which did not allow them to be tracked down. So all the providers stopped supporting these mobiles, so overnight these mobiles were rendered useless and people shifted back either to authentic chinese models or to standard vendors. Cheers! Ram

I dont think that it's wiser to buy a China phone to save money. because it has a poor quality. My cousin bought China phone, and like your friends, she cant receive calls now, and the sms are received late. So when you but phone, it's better if you opt for quality. there are top quality model phones with a more reasonable price. If one cant afford to buy a high end phones, then at least suit for a more quality ones, even if it has lesser features, at least buy the original ones, since you will not encounter such problems when you buy an imitation of it...you'll just waste your money if you buy an imitation since it will not last long and you have to buy another one again, it will just cost you more if you add up the money you wasted in buying imitation stuffs...be wiser, go for quality..=) you can also buy second hand phones, the original ones of course...instead of brand new but imitation, i think its better to have second hand original phone

China phones are on the go in my state. I live in India, a state called Kerala. I have two friends who own them and also my Driving teacher. My friends use them lesser than my driving teacher. But the teacher's set didn't have any complaints for an year. Others just went bad after half an year or so. China phones are not good. Try avoiding it as you have avoided till now! Happy mylotting, Regards, Ajith.

these phones are utter waste and its like burning your money instead of purchasing it. these phones should be banned. they resemble exactly like branded ones but with all illegal softwares. it doesnt have a IMEI number which is very helpful for terrorists to perform their tasks. may be the price be cheap but it does not have any warranty. i went to a shop and i saw a person buying a china mobile just same as my nokia. when he asked for warranty the shopkeeper replied a sentence.......... can you guess what it is? if so reply me. the person was cheated by this china mobile within two minutes of purchase.....pity. so please dont buy these mobiles
