With the immense popularity of social networking sites in recent years, one rich source of amusement among users is the comments section (wall/page/profile comments, blog comments, picture comments). I for one have laughed out loud countless times over a funny comment or simply scratched my head over a "duh" comment. I'd like to ask you, friends...what was the funniest, wackiest, silliest, or simply most out-of-this-world comment you've ever encountered?

These physical bruises would have healed faster though.
He uses words. And that equally hurts. The tongue is as sharp if not sharper than the knife. But I've learned to deal with all these. The positive thing I see out of this is to be more careful with what I say either here, at home, at work or anywhere. Thanks for the outrageous time.

Bullies don't steal. They tackle you to the ground and threaten to punch you in the face if you don't give them your lunch money :/ Sorry, you just struck a nerve :P

...they also grab you by the hair and bang your head to the ground...soft enough not to give you a concussion but hard enough to give you a lasting headache through class :( ...stop bringing back my childhood terrors! LOL

Oh gosh, it runs the gamut from just an emoticon () to something wildly out of context to something hilariously to the point. But I can't recall a specific one right now.
I do recall the time I missed out on getting a best response on a discussion about procrastination. The person asked people whether they procrastinate, how, why, etc. I responded:
I'll get back to you on that.
Sadly, the best response had already been awarded.

No one? Don't be so sure about that. Some people actually entertain themselves by reading silly ramblings :D
And who's this one user that makes you laugh on occasion?

There was once a discussion started here about what people hate most about discussions and responses, and even comments here too. One user's response was how she hated people commenting with incorrect spelling and incorrect grammar. As soon as I read it, I knew she was going to be lynched. Sure enough, when I visited the discussion the following day, people had nasty comments for her.
Duh!

It's never a good idea to malign other people's communication/writing skills (or lack of it)...I do it quietly :P LOL j/k
I must admit, I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to spelling and grammar, but I'd rather take the person aside and tell them about their mistake in private rather than ridicule them in front of everyone. That's just plain rude.

hmmm, comments? haven't encountered any "wack your brain out" comments yet, however if i find some, i really don't know how to react...most probably if i find it corny then it could be frustrating...so let it be a challenge to those who dares to post comments on me...hahahah

The funny comment I got was several weeks ago and blatantly replied that I am wrong in my opinion where in fact I have pointed out facts on the topic at hand. And added "whatever" in her/his comment. The point is, we should respect each others opinion (that's the reason it was called so) and not fire back on it as long as it is not offensive in any way (which I did not). If someone won't do it then it is pointless to start a discussion and you don't consider someone else's idea/s. For the first time that was the weird thing I encountered with someone here knowing that I've been a member for more than 2 years already.
Cheers..!!!

True, once in a while you come across certain individuals who have a warped view of the world, thinking, quite arrogantly, that their opinion is the end-all and be-all of opinions. Such is life...

There have been hundreds but off the top of my head. I remember LOL'ing when my friend announced on her status in Facebook that she had to PEE.
I laughed so hard I soon had to too.
It got a lot of comments from her friends. But I think everyone of us that truly knows her and her wacky sense of humor were not surprised.

The comment that is silly? Hmmm...That's a hard question but I know when people just type LOL in their comments section, mostly it means that they don't know what to type anymore. ^_^

Yeah, I'm the same way sometimes...on facebook it's almost expected of every user to update your status message, but sometimes I just don't know what to say so I just come up with something lame or blah, LOL

I have not really gotten any outrageous comments, but I once got a message from someone on MySpace who went by the name of Marco that went something to the effect of "I have always dreamed of being spanked by a lady. Would you be my severe professor and I will be your naughty pupil and you can spank and correct me?" I laughed when I read it then blocked the user. I showed the message to my son and he was peeved. I fantasized about sending a return message to Marco saying something like, "Rather than spank you myself, I will send you to the principal (my son) But of course I never did.

All sorts. On a site I shan't mention we would have people join for the express purpose of doling out offensive language- normally at weekends when monitoring was low.
Using log ons such as 'Jack the Ripper' and 'Sheepsha**er' and worse. No logic to their comment. For example replying to the above with a string of f related words and comments about lesbians etc. Much was the sort of thing that most could take in their stride: but for members of a delicate or troubled disposition, quite upsetting.
They would be reported, removed, and return with a new name the next weekend- and still do: the hosts do not seem to be able to trace them for some reason.
I know this is not funny or wacky, but it illustrates some very peculiar thought processes!
