Would you want to know?

If your family had a history of Alzheimers and there was a way to test you to determine your risks (there are some new ways to see if you are at risk).. Children of Alzheimer's sufferers want to know their risk - CNN.com ....would you take the test? There is no cure, so you may be able to take medications to possible slow the progression, but there are no guarantees even that would work. So, would you want to know? I really don't think I would, because I could see myself spending most of my days afterward (if I was tested as a person who will probably get it) worrying about when it will start and thinking that every slip of the memory was the prelude to what was coming. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
