Never, i've lived i one house my whole life. I ddon't think i'd be able to move to a new city and school like some of those children with parents in the army can. It'd be tough never having a real friend.

I was actually just thinking about this earlier..lol I have moved a total of 13 times in my life, and you would laugh if I told you about half the moves but with the exception of 1, all of them have been within the same city. The 1 that wasn't was only about 30 minutes away in the next town...lol 4 of the 13 moves were in the same neighborhood, 2 of which we moved into the same house twice! People always laugh at me when I tell them the story, but its true, I swear.

Yeah, we moved this last time for the last time until we can afford to buy a house. I am so sick of renting! There were legit reasons for each move, but only 7 of them were in my adult life, which still sounds bad. We moved here for the space and big backyard for our son to roam around in. Once we get all of our medical bills paid and get our credit score up, we're going to get a house and settle down for good somewhere here in town. =)

I was born in one house, and moved to another when I was 3 years of age. I stayed in that house until I was 23. Then during my first marriage I moved twice as many times as years we were married. I hated that. After getting married a second time and having children, I have remained in the same home. I insisted that I wanted roots for my children. I did not want to uproot them from their school, from their friends. My second daughter graduated from elementary school this year and I told the teachers that our time here was done... 13 years at that school. So I have one in grade 9 and one in grade 12 now and I still have no plans on moving. I hate moving... and we have so much stuff accummulated over the years!
My parents lived in our last home for 42 years. I am happy to stay where I am for awhile longer, maybe not 42 years, but until I can afford the real house of my dreams.

hi abj I think its even harder when you are young and have to leave close friends b ut I also have moved at least five times in my life and it never got a bit easier for me either and I am old enough to your grandmother. so moving is not fun for a great many p eople. At least most of our moves were done in the same city so that helped too.

Hi abj! I am glad that you were able to keep your same friends
since your last move. It is difficult to keep moving and make
new friends and it gets more difficult the older you get. When
I was young my family moved around alot, but luckily right in
the same area so I was always able to keep my same friends. I
have now lived in my same apartment for 30 years! I never imagined
that would happen or I would have bought my own place and not
wasted money renting all these years! But, one never knows what is
going to happen in their lives and I surely didn't! I love where
I live because I don't drive and I can still walk to stores and
busses. It's just that I am not as well as I used to be and it
is more difficult for me to walk then it used to be. I have a
serious knee injury and ankle problem and arthritis, but I still
try to keep on going!

I am in my 7th house that I have owned. I have lived in 3 states so far and moved over 15 times over my lifetime. The good thing is that it gives you a chance to clean out what you own, to make friends all over the place, and to experience different things.

I can say,i moved house 2 times.
The first one is when my grandpa has to retire from work,so we moved back to his hometown.
The 2nd time is,when i got married and i had to moved and live with my husband.
It is not easy to moved house to house,as i had seen people who were renting here in the city.
Good thing is,we lived in a house that our own.
Have a good day always

I hate moving house ! I live in the most prosperous region of China, the Pearl River Delta. The house price here is ridiculous high I cannot afford to buy one And I change my job frequently. So I keep moving. In the past 5 years, just after my graduation from college, I have lived in 4 cities. I lived in zhuhai city since 2008 for two year, I moved my house 5 times there. zhuhai lies on the north of Macau, opposite Hong Kong, which is a very beautiful seashore city. I really loved to live there. However for some reasons I moved to Guangzhou at the beginning of this year, which is the biggest and the most crowded city of South China. I've moved my house 2 times this year yet. Darn it. The landlord go back on what he has said, maybe I have to move to a new place soon. Oh, Jesus, when I will have my own house.

Why moved so much and only 2 year? It really the reason because you don't like the area you or family were at? I never heard move 4 times in only 2 years that much in that much in a short period of time.

I have moved 2 times in my life, but the first one was when I was only six months old, so I cannot remember. The second time when we moved, it was 11 years ago and we moved far from my city. It was a very difficult time for me, I never wanted to move. But since my family had to move, I must have moved with them. It was very hard, I got sick and my mom didn't know what to do with me. I was refusing to eat, and was sad all the time. I think it was a sort of depression, but I've got over it as time passed by and gathered new friends. Now everything is okay, I have grown up and don't really miss the old times. I always think nicely about my other place where I lived, but that's all, only memories.
