Do you train yourself to be patient?

I always want to train myself to patient, and I might need to practice it more for better personality. I was a person with impatience, and I always want to rush things, and eventually make everything worse. I should learn to calm myself, and learn a better way to be patient. I have to analyze the best solution or a better method to do things before I put it on action. I, as everyone else, can do a better job. The only problem is that I don't have patience like everyone else.

welcome to mylot. ... friend, please be more frequent to all the topics of your interest in mylot. that teaches you to be more patient. .. lols. but, as I have said earlier, one need not have to train to be kind, and peaceful. .. our in-born behavior and culture taught us to be KIND and PATIENT. .. .. all the modern day rush and madness .. made us forget that. just relax, do some meditation, breathing exercise. ... mmmm... before you start anything.

I also noticed that I was a shortage of patience. Of course, in life you should have enough patience to do and enjoy the fruits of a certain job. So patience is one of the elements to success in song.Toi trying to forge its own patience, are not simple things, everything must go step by step, Rome not built in a day, right people?

I am sort of impatient, but sometimes I am also too patient. So what I have to do is to train myself to be know when I have waiting too long for something and also when I should wait a little longer. I have no discretion as far as that is concerned. More then likely I am patient way too long and then find I have lost out on certain things.

I did not had patience too and it came with time and a lot of efforts too, I started believing more in myself and thus when there would be time to wait for something I would simply say that this had to happen and everything which happens happens for the best for any person so it is a long process and it is a well rewarded one too at the end. And above all I do meditation to help me get better into this training.

I agree with consultrainer. In my opinion patience is an inborn trait which can not be trained. What we can train is only express it outside or not. I used to be very easy to get angry when someone did things slowly in childhood, now I can control my mood well, but the inside anxiety never reduced.

oh. I thought, PATIENCE is a natural feeling, which is inborn in all. .. ONLY we train ourselves not to be so. .. so, one need not have to re-train, but to UN-TRAIN .. and, age and situations play a major role about one losing patience. and, not being able to manage the stress. .. if you will listen to me, .. don't just start analyzing the situation, where you lost your tempers. .. TRY to cool your mind, even before you enter into any jobs.

hello swetashah! Patience is a virtue, as we often hear our grandparents tell everyone else in the family. This virtue however is not inborn, but acquired through our own self effort. We are natural-born impatient, impatient with the world around us, as you can observe a baby, wailing because it can't wait anymore for its milk or the comforting hug of his mother. We can only learn to be patient when we can learn to understand ourselves and the behavior of the people around us and even the natural way of things. We lose our calm demeanor when something happens in a way that we don't like or when someone behaves in a way we totally disagree with. If we learn why a particular person behaves in such a way, we would exert effort to be patient with such person the next time he does something we already learned to understand. we rush to do things because we always think that time is gold and everyone else is competition. If something happens in our surrounding and we give time to understand why it had happened, we would not lose our control and give bent to our tempers the next time something happens like that. We can learn to be patient with ourselves and with others only if we take the time. Impatience grows when we don't understand what is happening, when we always compete with time and with others. Only when you stop and look at the real beauty of life can you truly be patient and take each endeavor in a much relax manner.
