I dont think so, every decade and generation have different music genre era. And i grunge ruled the early 90s without a question and a doubt. It would be difficult to maintain for such a long time, which most bands faced until now.

A tough question! One of the difficulties is that Nirvana captured the spirit of a generation of teenagers. That is hard to maintain, times change and new bands, or types of music, capture the spirit of a new generation. I think, too, that there was a big tension in Nirvana between musical art (if that is the right term) and popularity/accessibility of their music. Could the band have survived those tensions? Where would they have led Kurt in particular? My guess is that they would have either made room for Kurt Cobain to have solo projects, or broken up and (by now) gotten back together for a massive tour, like many bands today! Of course, all of this is speculation, the sad fact is that we can never know. It would have been fascinating to see how their music would have developed. At least, the fantastic music they made lives on.

i think that he were at a solo career, but it's hard to think him alive today, how Kurt said ''it's better burn than to fade away''

I think that if Kurt Cobain is still alive, he will never live Nirvana down. He may be able to emerge solo, but I speculate that fans would have a hard time understanding all of the angles of the "stunt" and have mixed emotions about Nirvana. Kurt Cobain solo - that's another story. Kurt will always have fans who will be happy to see him alive and well and writing and singing and playing, etc. Like a fresh start in a relationship, or perhaps starting with a new boss or a new spouse.

If Kurt Cobain is still alive I dont think so that the nirvana still be popular. That is just my guess, knowing that the preferences of listeners varies as the time goes by. But I guess he can go and perform solo and there will no more be nirvana but Kurt Cobain as a solo performer.

Wow, difficult question. But I think the band would probably have stayed together for a while, and then just quit. Kurt did not seem like the type who would have worked hard all his life, if you ask me.
