I recently reinstaled my OS and I hate it when I have to install programs again but the most annyoing thing to add booksmarks in my browser. I didin't knew I could export my bookmarks until now. I now have to reinstall my OS because I'm having troubles with some drivers. Last time I installed Vista and now I'm going back to XP SP2. It's a good thing that I now know how to export bookmarks.
For those of you who don't know how go to Bookmarks Organise bookmarks Import and backup Export as HTML. Same thing goes for importing your bookmarks.

Exporting is fine, but the really great thing if you are using FireFox is xmarks. It's an extension for FireFox that puts a copy of your bookmarks on a server somewhere (in the cloud). It backs them up whenever you add a new bookmark. Then should anything go wrong, say you have drive crash or something, you just load up the new operating system on the new drive, install Xmarks and log it into the server. Walla! you are back up and running with all your FireFox bookmarks. Check it out... ;)

I have been using it for a while now, it will also allow you, if you use multiple boxes or multiple operating systems to have the same bookmarks persistent over them if you like.
