I read number of books but never thought of writing one.
But I used to prepare notes for all the subjects before the exams and havea habit of sharing the same with friends in my engineering.

As I remember myself I always wanted to write my own book. When I was 5 years old I wrote my own story "How the pig lived with monk". When I become older I wrote only poems, but now I only think about writing. Of course I write some articles and research works, but to write some book I unfortunately have no time. But I hope that someday I will have time and wish to do that!

I've written four novels, but none of them were directly inspired by any one book I read. I don't think it's respectful to try and re-write someone else's story. If I don't like the ending of a book or a certain twist that happened, then I just put the book down and find something else to read.
I've loved making up stories since I was a kid. I've been writing novels since I was 12. I'd love to be able to do it for a living one day... but so far all I have is rejection letters. Writing a book is easy. Getting it published? Hard.

No, it doesn't have to take over your life. But it does take up a pretty chunk of time. I'd say just dive right in and go for it. If you have an idea for a scene, write it. Even if it isn't how the story begins. You can start in the middle and fill in the gaps later if that's how you run. If you have to start at the beginning, then start at the beginning. If you get stuck but have an idea for what to do later on, then just go ahead and write what happens later on. It's always better to have something written, even if it's bad, then to have just an idea.

I work in academia and am about to have a book published where I am one of the editors. That is exciting. And I am trying to write a book on politics. But I think you are are talking about fiction writing. And I have been thinking about that. I don't know whether I would be any good. It would be really interesting though, because all of my academic writing has to be so controlled and logical. It would be fascinating to probe my more creative and unconscious side. I think I would write dark, psychological novels, with twisted characters - what does that say about me?!

Oh, I've been an aspiring writer since as long as I can remember. Well, since I was five. I love retellings or books that tell the story from the point of view of another character. And I'd like to write books like that. Actually, I'd love to write a fairy tale retelling. I keep trying but keep hitting roadblocks. But, yes, writing has always been a dream of mine.

I've written some short stories and poems in my language. I'm going improve my English grammar to write well in English.
