Ideas for a website

Iam planning to start a website for a particular gadget.Now,I am thinking about what should be the website like.Should it be a forum or a blog or what else can it be.Please offer me your suggestions.Im really looking for some useful suggestions.Thank you.

If your making the website for a gadget should'nt you be promoting it in the site? If so then you should make it a proper site (not a forum or blog) with tabs (e.g. features, related products, etc.) and mabey have a little blog page that you update with new into on the "gadget". Hope this helps!!

Thats a good idea,infact I was considering something like a complete site where blog and forum are a part of.I am wondering what should be the tabs though.

It would be nice if you put it up as a forums so that others could share their point of views and even shared pictures and reply to every thread. Also some guides can be brought up by other pro members of forums.

Im considering the forums as well.But since its something totally new,I need something more to get the initial following.What do you think about forums being a part of the site.Im just exploring options.Give me your thoughts.
