To all the married couples out there. Did you ever had a checklist to make sure you were ready to venture into marriage? DId you have to think of the qualifications about you to engage in such?

I did not prepare any checklist as I do not think that it would help and then checklist does not work in real life all that helps is lots of love, a bit of sacrifice and oddles of understanding and compromises if you are ready to do this then I suppose you are ready for marriage.

Yes, I did have a checklist. It was a list that evolved over a period of time of being in groups with young people my age. I tried to avoid one on one dating because I found that people were more themselves in groups than one on one. It is much easier to remain friends with someone also when things do not get serious physically. As I spent time with different people, the list became more and more clear of what I wanted and what I did not want in a future mate. All in all, though, I did pray and ask God to give me my mate because I figured He knew more about a person than I did. It was not just me or just God, it was a team effort. After almost 33 years of marriage to (not the man of my dreams) but the man that fits me, this has worked well for me. Oh, and after 33 years we know each others good and bad points and we still can rally in the good and accept the bad (even if it does get on our nerves).
