The Happy Meal Dilemma

With all the talk going on of late about McDonald's Happy Meals and how some people think that the toys in the meals are luring the children into eating unhealthy food, the McDonald's advertising team wasted little time.
A few short weeks after the Happy Meal madness, I saw not one but two commercials on television featuring young children at McDonald's, happy meals, and the fact that proceeds from these sales are going to a very worthy cause - helping children.
I thought it was quite cleaver of the advertisers to show a young boy with his happy meal that consisted of, not a soda pop but apple juice ; not french fries but friut slices.
So what are your thoughts on this? Is McDonald's showing real concern and being a responsible advertiser or do you think they are just trying to cover up the fact that childhood obesity is a real problem and that fast food is one of the main reasons for it?
I have my own opinions that I will share as the discussion continues.

I believe it is really half and half. They are serving better foods to make children healthier and attempting to lower the childhood obesity percentages, and by doing that, they are coming off as a great restaurant who "cares for our childrens health." So it could be looked at from a couple point of views, but i personally leave it at fifty fifty. :)

That's a good way of looking at it. We are ultimately responsible for our own well being and that of our children.
