Just how much money would it take to make YOU hapy. Would it be enough to pay all the household bills each month without having to count every penny, OR, Do you want more ? Do you want to be a millionaire or would simply having enough income to take the pressure off paying bills be enough. Being a millionaire would be a dream, but for me not having to worry about day to day bills would be fantastic..

Its a sad thing really. Wanting or relying on money to make you happy..Dont you think? I mean, I suppose just having enough to get by would make me happy..Having enough for the occassional treat also! But really, I think its how we view ourselves..That is the key to being happy.

Your right, relying on money is sad, BUT, whether we like it or not money makes the world go round. And I'm not saying that is right but it happens.

yeah, this is true. But like I said, I dont pine for millions of pounds. Just enough to get by and live relatively comfortable and I would be happy.

It is precisely that money is considered the root of evil that one can really appreciate the finer side of money. It all depends on how much money the person has and how much the person love money and how wise is the person in managing money. A person lacking money will want more money. Once he has the money, he will wish for more. The more he wish to own money, the more mercenary he becomes and once he becomes slave to money, the root of all evil arises.

Not everyone with enough money to live comfortably craves for more and more. Yes some people do but sometimes they are people who cant control money. ie. the more you have the more you spend. You cant put everyone in the same category but I do understand the point you are making. Thanks for joining in. Have a smooth day.

Hey Haddo, you have it all wrong! There is nothing wrong with money but when you love money so much that you will do anything to achieve it - that's where the evil comes in. the Bible says that the "love of money is the root of all evil" and if something is wrong with money then why does the same Bible says that money answers all things. Nothing is wrong with wanting to earn money honestly in order to meet your needs. Right now I wish I had to million Jamaican Dollars to ease the stress I am now going through but other than that I am quite content to earn at the job I am while looking for a better paying one. I agree with you that not having to worry about paying bills from day to day would be a dream come true ... one I am still praying about. Hope I made some sense here.

Totally understand, having enough to pay the bills is certainly my top priority. Enough to keep a roof over my head and look after my family. May not seem alot to some people but nowadays for most people it's all they really want. Have a great day and keep working towards yor dreams...

Its personal opinion, but money is infact something that EVERYONE wants. Because no one can live without money these days as its just not possible. As inflation increases, poverty increases. Hence having more money will obviously help you out. Although I don't consider money to be everything in life. There are other things as well. But being on the discussion of money only, indeed I would like to have a lot of money. But hunger for money is different based on who or well off the person is. A poor man can be satisfied with as little as 100$ to pay their bills but with richer guy, even 100000$ might not satisfy him. As man gains money, his desire for money increases.

Money knows no age boundaries, you just never know when you will have a lot of money or when you dont. But we all just have to get on with what we have been given. Have a stress free day.

this is a misquote!taken from the bible it never says that money in and of itself is evil what it says is "the LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL""Not the money itself (1st Timothy 6'10)

I feel the same as you. I would be very happy with being comfortable versus rich. I do think that money can be the root to evil...I think that when people are hungry or suffering that money is very tempting for relief. There are a lot of people that give in to the power that money offers. I don't think they ever really win though.

Everything in this world is money. From a single piece of pepper you are going to use for cooking cost money to a single drop of oil on your pan. We live to earn money to be able to put food in our stomach to live. When we get sick, we are charged with number as in 12345.... not with hug and kisses. So how much money would make me happy? Just enough to pay my needs, my wants and for emergencies.

Money is really an evil thing BUT if you know how to manage and spend it in a right direction, I think there would be no problem! If you share your money with the needy and help those children who can't go to school. Wow that would be heaven for you!

Money is the root of all evil only to those who do not understand the law of giving. They are those who violate the law of nature by taking what is not due them or those who steal from others. When our life becomes abundant we must let the blessings overflow so that others can be happy too. Money can be helpful to many people who really need it when used/given for the right reasons. As for me, some millions would really make me happy! lol

We can assume money is the root of all evil. Ever wonder, when money made essential in human daily life, criminal starts to target it and rob from those who are weak. Instead, when someone have a lot of money, they could buy military power and able to control the government (in case the government is poor). Anyway, money is a need and we cannot avoid from having them and using them to buy for our daily needs.

Money itself cannot make you happy but some people do enjoy the pursuit of money. I have a brother-in-law like that. He's a business man...involved in many things and always working on the next deal...the next challange. My husband and I, on the other hand, are comfortable and we're satisfied with that. We don't have to count every penny, are able to travel when we want to and our life is less stressful.

If you have enough money to live comfortably and enjoy life, then why enjoy the pursuit ? I understand what you say, it's more a sport to some people, and not just the amounts of money.

Money is not the root of evil. People can do evil things without the money as an involved. People kill becoz of hatred and angry from betrayal, and the reason is love not money. It is the person who is an evil and not the money. It is the person who spent the money for doing evil things. It is the person who manipulates the evil things and make money as a medium.

It can be the root of all evil if not used responsibly. As for your question, enough to comfortably pay all bills month in and month out would make me happy. Having a little extra would not be so bad either.

Yeah money is not what causes people to become evil , it is their love of money that determines if they will be a evil cold hearted person. Our society needs money as a means for exchange and without it we could not function properly in this technologial stage in humans evolution.Having a lot of money ,ie to much to use properly is likely to cause problems, but haveing a resonable enough to enjoy ones self is acceptable.

Actually, the LOVE of Money is the root of all evil. Money itself is not evil.

Do you mean the LOVE of money or the LOVE of wealthy ?

The scripture refers to the Love of Money, that is having a desire to have money, just to have money and for no other purpose. If you want all the money in the world, just to say you are rich, that is the Love of Money, however, if you want all the Money in the world to set up schools, hospitals, charities, and feed the hungry, that is not the love of money, and chances are you will earn more using your money the second way. Sincerely and With Appreciation.
