Are there some shows y our kids watch and you think..man.. I am gonna go into a coma or lose brain cells watching this... And then are there some that you just really enjoy and find it hard to tear yourself away from? lol For me the first coma inducing show would be teletubbies. I feel like I am on a drug of some sort and losing brain cells watching that.. The one I really like is yo gabba gabba, and I know most people dont really like that one, but I do.

My kid is turning ten next week so... I don't find anything she watches to "bore" me and I ADORE Doctor Who, which she begs me to "get" for her so she can watch...

I only let my daughter watch shows that do not make me want to go into a coma. She loves Blue's Clues, The little mermaid, My friends tigger and pooh, and Backyardagains. I knew before she was born that she would NEVER watch Teletubbies. I do not do like baby talk and that is all that she does. I tried to watch a bit of yo gabba gabba and it was just so strange, so she doesn't watch that. She does like the Wiggles which I know a lot of people don't like but I think they are pretty good. I try to find her things that she will either learn from or be able to particapate in. But I try to make sure she has fun ones too. At only 3 she has seen more shows than I did at her age I am sure but there are some that are really quite good. I hope they keep making good shows and loose some of the crap ones.

the wiggles creep me out..lol.. Yes yo gabba gabba is strange, maybe thats why I like it lol... But I like the teachings it has.. BAckyardigans, eh, I find it a tad annoying, but they like it. I let them watch things I dont necessarily like, because I think they should get to choose a bit on their own. and not have to conform to my likes and dislikes so much as find their own. But I understand what you are saying some are pretty mind numbing..lol

There's shows my children like in which I do dislike, some aren't bad but some I really can't stand. I allow them to watch them, as my parents allowed me to see programs that they didn't like and it wouldn't be fair not to allow it. There's shows like "Ben 10" which I really thought was corny and I've grown to respect it, I think it's overrated but I can see why children a like want to be like Ben and watch the show every day/week.

Hey, teletubbies isn't that bad, is it!? I feel the same way about Barney. Thank goodness neither of my kids were never really into that show 'cause I found that purple dinosaur to be just so darn annoying! LOL As for a kids show that I like that would have to be Jane and the Dragon, though Jacob Two Two's good too. Happy mylotting!

I like watching most of the cartoons my 5 yo kid watches. Like spongebob, chowder and flapjack. What I don't like are the old cartoons like tom and jerry, because it seems it's just always the same story that just got edited a bit.

I think the old school kid shows like seaseme street are fun to watch when your older because you can laugh at how retarded it is and find ways why the show shouldn't even be for kids (who wouldn't understand it either way). I have a cruel humor to these things.lol

lol yes!! I have watched back old movies I saw as a kid and you can find the hidden adult humor in it that you never noticed as a child...that is funny.

Kids shows are just not what they used to be! Teletubbies was hideious! But now, Hanna Montana, Zak and Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place...my 10 year old GD watches them when she is here and I'm like "PLEASE..give me some valium!" or something. THose are the most annoying, ridiculous, ranting, useless, no storyline, no lesson, nothing but blantant stupidity and mindless characters shows I have ever seen!!! Hanna wins hands down on that tho! To the point that I dont' let her watch them any more. I just can't take it! I turned her on to the old black and white sitcoms..I love Lucy, Beverly Hillbilies, Gomer Pyle USMC, Andy Griffith Show... and she laughs constantly! And now she asks to watch those and doesnt' even ask for those current ones!
