Ever seen that show on TLC? I mean apparently it is pretty normal for a woman to go thru an entire pregnancy and never know it! I say this because it happens often enugh to make an entire series of tv shows out of it! I dont understand how a woman can not know she is pregnant! I dont get it! Maybe in the case of those who thought their tubes were tied or something, I dont know. What do you think about this, have you ever not known you were pregnant?

Somebody who lives by me actually got an offer to be on that show, that's how I heard about it. I think its kind of crazy too! I've seen the show and still don't understand how some of those people didn't realize they were pregnant.. There are obvious signs of being pregnant, how do people not realize them? Unless they've already been through menopause, but then they wouldn't be able to have a baby in the first place.

did the person who lives by you not know she was pregnant? how does the show find out about them? I know, there were a couple where they were told they couldnt have a baby, or their tubes had been tied, where I can see that even if they thought maybe they were pregnant they'd think they were crazy for thinking it, but I dont know...It does seem kind of odd.

oh wow! I probably wouldnt either, people can be quite rude... Did you see the one with the girl who was sick a lot and all and gained a lot of weight and had most classic symptoms, but it never crossed her mind, and at the hospital the baby fell out into her pants leg....I juswt dont get it either some women are very lucky and go through pregnancy and labor like its nothing, or I am a weak weak person....lol... Cause I Cant see going through labor that far and not kind of know whats going on

Nope she didn't know she was pregnant. I think the show found out about her because she was in the newspaper here, and on the news too I think. Then she was in the newspaper again for not accepting the offer from TLC. She didn't like the media attention or something like that, and the way people were talking about her.

That shows sounds ridiculous. Kids at my school have talked about it in class and some of the stories are beyond belief. I think one lady actually had the baby while sitting on the toilet because she thought she was just going to the bathroom. That's so weird.

I know! Talk about someone not knowing when to go to the hospital lol. I can see a bit about thinking yuo had to go to the bathroom, because that is kinda how it is just really really intense... but I can imagine not being able to feel the baby kick, or feeling the pressure towards the end. Maybe because I am miserable during my pregnancies, I've never had one go smoothly lol.

Exactly! I don't want to use the word stupid, but what else can I say. It's not difficult to know if you're pregnant or not once you're that far along. And thats true, I watched that episode. Not normal, lol.

I know I do...lol...Some women love being pregnant tho and describe it as the best feeling, my sister for example, gained hardly no weight, never sick, but always tired...But she still knew ya know?

I've actually seen a few episodes of this show. I find that some of these stories are interesting to hear. Although sometimes some of these stories make some sense, there is still a part of me that has to wonder how our bodies can not make us know that we're pregnant. I do find it somewhat interesting to hear.

DEfinitely, They are interesting to watch how they excuse away the fact that they could be pregnant, but still at child bearing age I think that'd be one cause to check for pregnancy, but then there are the ones who got false negatives on tests, and so they figured that couldnt be it...So, IDK...

I'm not gonna judge these people outright. I have gone through three pregnancies and yes, I could even say that I knew it already just weeks in my pregnancy. I always knew it because my body goes through major changes when I'm pregnant. BUT, i did know someone who didn't realize she was pregnant till she was 8months in. She just didn't realize it. First off, she has irregular menstruation, she has it only once a year, so she never missed it. Second, she's overweight, she has a huge belly, so she never really did notice anything. And she never felt anything inside because she gets gas all the time. So, maybe those women in that tv show, were fro real. Or some just in it to be famous I don't know. But I can say that it is possible to be pregnant and not know about it.

Its true, I know after I had my third, I got some gas a couple of times that felt like baby kicks, it freaked me out, but I wasnt pregnant, lol.. SO i guess if it can happen that way it can happen the other way around. I would never judge them, as I said before I've never been in their situation, it just seems odd to me not knowing something was going on that dramatic without knowing.

Yeah, I guess it would have seemed odd. And, I never would have believed it if my friend didn't go through the exact same situation. I remember it because we went to the doctor together, thinking she had some sort of sickness because lo, she felt a hard lump on her side. Imagine her surprise when the doctor looked at her quite oddly and told her to take a pregnancy test. My friend almost fainted then. lol. She couldn't believe it, either. But now she has a beautiful 10months old baby. And she was just thankful that her baby came out just fine.

Oh, yea of course its real, I just think its odd that the women knew something was wrong and either didnt go to the doctor, or did and the doctors missed it, and something was going on to that extreme, (growing a baby inside) and it was completely missed by all, docs, family members, etc.

Yeah, I've always wondered too when I read about similar cases. How can one not know that she is pregnant??? It's a mystery to me...but it's probably very easy for the person who is in the situation. Maybe their periods were never regular...so they never thought about it and realized...and maybe they are not bothered about their weight. I don't know...there is probably some explanation...but I can't think of one.

Especially if you've never been pregnant before, but they knew something was wrong in their body most times, so I'd think no matter what your situation as a woman doctors would test you for that. It is for some doctors to blame at times, too, based on symptoms and the amount of people it happens to they should pregnancy test just in case even in situations it may not seem possible.

I love watching this show! I don't know why. I think it's just amazing to see what these women go through. I mean, just last night I saw an episode where the girl didn't know she was pregnant with TWINS?!? That is unbelievable! I've even talked my husband into watching it a few times with me. I don't really understand, unless maybe you are obese, not being able to tell you are pregnant! I have one son, and I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant with my second son, and even though the two pregnancies have been completely different... I still showed certain signs with both pregnancies that I was definitely pregnant. I couldn't even hide my pregnancies from family and friends. I am a skinny girl, but still. I just think the show is great to watch!

I think I'd be harder to hide a pregnancy if you are skinny especially. I guess some people are aware of whats is going on in their body more than others, and I guess those of us who are take that for granted? IDK, I sense some of it is some sort of denial, but I dont know I've never been in that situation.

I've always wondered about that too. I mean, when a woman is pregnant, her body changes and there should be signs that something is going on inside you. Right? Or at least that's what I think. Then again, my cousin could have been one of those ladies if it wasn't for her husband. My cousin did not know she was pregnant for 3 months until her husband suggested she see a doctor because she kept gaining weight despite going to the gym every morning. She didn't think she could get pregnant because her doctor told her she had less than 5% chance to get pregnant again.

I can almost see it. During my pregnancy with my daughter about the only thing that changed was I was hungry all the time and I couldn't eat sweets. I never really felt her move a whole lot. She really didn't kick a whole lot only it I laid wrong in bed. During the day it was nothing. I was admited to the hospital at 28 weeks and when they put the featl monitor on then she kicked a lot she hated that thing. I had her a week later at 29 weeks due to medical issues. I did get stretch marks but I never looked really pregnant just fat. I have PCOS that makes it hard for me to get pregnant and I am now on the pill again, but it happends to people on the pill. I never got morning sickness and I can't complain about labor becasue I only felt a couple of contractions and they weren't bad at all. They monitor would go off and that is the only way I knew I was having contractions. So sometimes your body fools you and some of these woman do not look pregnant. I think some depend too much on birthcontrol, that it just will work and if they are on it nothing will happen. We had been tring for over two years, and I kept complaining that my brest sure were hurting and the girls at work kept saying oh I bet your pregnant I only took a test to show them wrong boy was I suprised!!
