For guitarist come in!!!

I play rock and its derivations, but I also can do some clasic,pop,progressive,minimalist.. I personally don't like shredders, the only kind of shredder I like is Jeff Beck but he is too diferent from the others. If you want to improve in guitar all you have to do is PRACTICE. Be all day with the guitar, love it as you'd do with your girlfriend and listen to all kinds of music. Practice digitation exercises like 1-2-3-4 or 1-3-2-4 and if you have a metronome use it...

There are many great bands out there and many great musicians as well!!! But do I think Dream Theater is a dream band? No just a regular band like many are. It may be a dream to one person depending on how much they like that bands music? So usually the dream is really yours! lol! My own thoughts about playing is, shredding is ok if not over done! Too much is too much and just becomes monotonous and dull! I play allot! For about 27 years now I have played live as well for over 15 years in Las Vegas NV, AZ and now in Texas every now and then. When I can find decent people that is? lol! But the best way to improve you playing most of the time is just practicing! But this also leads to stale playing sometimes as well with coming up with new ideas. Sometime you need to play with other guitar player to get new ideas. Last but least is lesson like I teach to further you're techniques. Something I have found out is there are always new things to learn with music and knowing how to use them make allot of difference in you're playing. I do blues and rock stuff, but the best thing for me was to work on finger strength. Just go up the frets using two different fingers and try as many combinations of fingers, just going through scales. Also do this for hammer-ons and pull-offs. If you can only pick going downwards, try playing riffs with only up-strokes. Helps for playing things faster. http://tiny.cc/d1unb

never encountered shredder! sorry but im into alternative, pop, OPM, rnb... Im not into performance stuff since Im into stage frights! But I had performed before in a little crowd. practive makes perfect! many tabs in the world. what song would you want?
