We know it is possible to overcome bad habits, but it takes a lot of determination. People knowing the risks of smoking find it difficult to quit smoking. There are many bad habits that we are aware of but unable to overcome them. People who underwent therapy may have too many success stories.
I have read about people overcoming their bad habits and phobias themselves using the techniques of Richard Bandler's NLP(Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Have you ever overcome any of your bad habits or phobias yourself or do you know someone personally who made it themselves?

Firstly I should say that to avoid the bad habit is the first step to success. As during my school days I always have a habit of copying note from my friend and class mate. one day teacher caught me and punished me but was too late to make my mistakes , any how from that day I realized and and stop copying. And I realized and knew that copying is bad habit. Sometime I used to recollect those things and laugh at myself thinking that I missed my great opportunity to become successful person.

It was a great success to over come bad habit in my life, though it is very difficult. When I was small knowingly I used to kill the insects but one day, one sage came and told me," try to imagine you as insect" and with his sword, he attempted to kill me to my scare. Thank god! it is a dream, then I stop killing insects. That day onwards I could overcome my bad habits.
