Are BB guns intended for children?

I seen lots of kids in my neighborhood with BB guns. And what from I heard, they can be really painful when you get shot. Out of curiousity, are those really intended for children? I also heard there's metal pallets too for them, can't that kill you??!!

Well in my view no because they are dangerous and they do hurt because I have been hit with one. You have to be careful with the ones that have metal bullets those are even more dangerous than the ones that have plastic bullets.
