Believing in one's self is a part of one's character that is essential for normal and healthy psychological development. It is one of the first things that parents should try to develop in their children. It is what helps us begin building self esteem and prepares one for the many challenges that occur as we grow. Believing in one's self is having confidence. When we have confidence we can meet all of life's challenges.

Yeah. That's right. Believe in yourself and you will see dramatic improvements happen in your life. If you feel you lack that confidence, you may need to reprogram your mind. A good way to do that is always start your day with positive mind reprogramming. For those who need to positive reprogramming, here's a nice visualization tool that I highly recommend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phL0RLKL8bc

Believing in yourself is important and it's extremely important when you want to make other people believe in you. Having said that, we have to see that our believes are rational and not irrational. For example if you believe that by jumping off from 20 storied building, we are not going to die then it would be crazy. Our believes on us needs to be strong and at the same time should be grounded.

If you don’t believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to believe you? How can you convince anyone if you can’t convince yourself? Your self-confidence and esteem stem from a strong belief in who you are and what you stand for. It is important to remember that you are your number one supporter and fan.
