Do you feel your age???

Hi Buddies... Please don't call me childish after reading this post... I am just expressing what is going on in my mind... Ladies generally tend to hide their real age, at least that is how it happens in the area where I live. I girl of 21 will never say she is 21, unless she is forced to show her ID .. Well, I am kidding. It is not as extreme as that.. But they tend to hide... Men on the other hand are pretty careless about it and if you ask a man, 'how old are you, pal?' He will tell his real age, without even thinking for a moment... I am 27 today... And to tell you the truth, I don't even feel I am 27... I still feel as if I am a child ... No, I am not affected by any syndrome or psychological disorder.. But I just don't feel that I am getting older... I don't know why and don't want to know why... I simply feel that I am still young, that is it! Have you ever felt it this way??? Is it good??? Or am I just dreaming??? Please share... Happy Lotting!!!

Your way of thinking is awesome! I'm same age with you, but I feel like a granny, and that makes me feel depressed I think I will have to learn from you I don't feel old myself, but my age limits me for things that I would like to do and I can't.

Hi Friend... Don't feel depressed.. .Don't take things negatively... 27 is a small age.. We still have to see a lot and learn a lot... Never think that you're too old, that is not true.. Trust me, 27 is nothing... The real fun of life has just begun for me... And I am sure it'll be the same with you... Look at it positively.... Take care and keep writing... :)

Well,I always believe that what you think influence deeply your physical side.Mentality always go faster than physicality. You positive attitude is quite good.If you are energetic and young in your mind, then I think you will look younger than what you really are.Try to keep that attitude all the time no matter what others say. They are just jealous about your young appearance. PS Although I am a female,I don't care about my age much.I am 23.(You needn't see my ID) For me,each age period has its unique beauty and you needn't hide it.Just try to be more confident when you are getting old.

HI Thanks for sharing... I know there are a few frank ladies like you, who don't hide their age... But hey, I am sure you'll agree that not every woman is like that, right? The way you think about life is highly admirable and great... I am sure you'll go ahead in life and no matter what is your age, you will walk with a grace of a Queen... Keep it up!!!!

always thinking about your aged is really stressful especially when you can't accept that your older now than what you think..for me i am not ashamed to tell my real aged and i am proud to be..but i don't think that having the aged of 30's is already old enough..it depends on you on how to handle your self..i am 31 but i am proud to say that my face is younger than my aged..

Hi Cherwin... It is not hard for me to accept that I am 27... That is not a problem... I don't feel my age... I act my age, maturely, I believe... But I don't feel it... You're to be congratulated as you don't look like your age... wonderful!

I think it depends on the situation. About a week ago, I had a root canal and it has felt like it has taken me awhile to get over and to feel like I can sort of eat again. I told my neighbor that I didn't feel like I was in much pain with having a tooth extracted to having this root canal and filling put into my mouth. He told me it was because I was older, it took longer to heal. So, he sort of reminded me that I was growing older and sometimes healing don't go as quick or as smooth as it did when I was younger.

I'm a 34 year old female and doesn't mind telling people my age, still. lol I still feel pretty young, actually not much of a difference from when I was in my twenties though I do not feel like going out late at nights now. I have different thinking at different stages of my life and I am grateful for all my past years' experiences, be they good or bad, I realized I can learn to live with it and become wiser.

Happy Birthday!! Have a great day! Today is Your Day! I don't think about my age. The last time I looked forwatd to reaching an age was 21. After that I never really think about it. I must be more like a guy. If a person asks my age I first have to figure it out and then I'll tell them. I Never acted my age. When I was a little girl my mom said I knew things a little girl wouldn't so I acted older than I was. It seemed every time I about to be the age to stay in the pool or other things the rules had changed. So when my mom said I was too young for something, I just assumed I would Never get old enough to do anything. So when I reached 21, I stopped thinking of my age, and in that way I feel I Now act younger than what I really am. I feel like I reached 16 and stopped. The saying is I may grow old but I will Never grow up!

Hi Sarah.. Thanks for your wonderful reply... Your response has set me thinking about my own young age and the times, when my parents discovered that I knew something that I shouldn't have known at that age... LOL... e.g. I had asked boldly about LOVE to my father when I was only 7 (in Indian families this is a too BOLD thing for a kid to do!). Now, I am 27... I don't feel as if I am 27... but I act my age, many times, though not all times... LOL... I like being childish sometimes... ;)

Hi, I feel that a person's age is his/her own business and if someone fels like hiding , again it is upto them.I feel that age is something that is time related and what you feel inside yourself is something else altogether.I have seen a person who is 20+ years old having the mentality and ideas that are ancient and not at all as one would expect , whereas there are some at 70+ who come across as dynamic and forward thinking. so what is really important is the persona and how you carry yourself rather than your physical age..

I rarely ever feel my age but I really can't say why. Perhaps its the way that people like us view things. For years I've been seeing and hearing things about how to "look and feel younger" so maybe this isn't a common thing. If that's true I guess we are just the lucky ones.

I also don't feel my age haha Well I don't see the problem with feeling young...i think it's a very positive thing.Like people say age is nothing a but a number so you probably are a fun, spontanious person to be around.I'm 18 but i don't really feel like it.Mabe its because when I was younger I thought that things would be different and that my life would be at this point.Another good thing is that i look younger haha!!!!

Hi Jessica... Thanks for sharing... You have written a truth that I have experienced too.. I had imagined that things would be different when I grew up... But I did't find any change, or maybe, I didn't notice. I still don't feel I am 27... LOL... Things are the same....

I'm 20 but I don't feel that old. It's like I'm aging but not maturing LOL. I also feel like lying when someone asks my age, but in a joking manner. Maybe maturity is a factor or whatever..

I think it is good for the younger ones to not to feel the age... It is kind of an energizing factor... So keep it up... But do it as the others do... Even if you don't feel your age (which is good), please do act your age... :) take care... :)

Nope I don't feel my age. I'm 17 and it feels like i'm 15; I even look like a 15 year old. I really don't feel like i'm growing up at all and I kinda like the feeling. But I would never lie about my age even when i'm 48 and someone asks me. I hope I feel young when i'm 50 or something..well i'm pretty sure I will. :D I think it's good that you feel young because then you feel happier.

No, same as mr_pearl(772). But it is otherwise as I feel older than my real age. I am 18 now but aged with a lot of responsibilities that I have now. I am a working student-- working not just for myself but for my entire family. A good son? Not really. ^^

You're not the only one Mr. Pearl... I am 25 but I honestly stopped feeling like I was getting any older when I reached 20. In my mind, I will always be 20, and I just can't fathom the fact that I am 25. I am not ashamed of my age, I will tell it to you honestly if you ask me, but it's really just a number. I had this talk with my siblings, and we were all feeling the same thing. We all stopped counting when we reached 20, so in our eyes, we are all forever young. Hehehe.

No I don't feel my age. But I act my age. =) Does that make sense? I'm 33 but I don't feel like I'm 33. I feel as if I'm on my 20's. I guess who you surround yourself with makes a difference too. I work with younger individuals so I feel as I'm young too. But as I've said I don't act young. I act appropriately for my age. I don't see anything wrong with not feeling your age. It just means that you have a carefree attitude.
