Does anyone here read Anita Blake?

I started the series and thought they were among the absolute BEST vampire books ever. Then about book 10, it all went down hill. :( From a kickass girl who had bizarre morals and killed anything that looked at her wrong, she went to a depressingly in love person who . . . well, just got boring. I was reading book 14 and literally got so bored I had to put it down! What do you think? Are you unimpressed with the turn the series has taken?

I haven't read any of the Anita Blake stories yet but a good friend recommended it to me. I have yet to start. But I love Laurell K. Hamilton's Meredith Gentry series. You should try it. =)

I agree that the series changed. My favourites are from book 1 to five, but I just can't not keep reading. The Merry Gentry series is a good one too.
