I'm a huge Tolkiein fan and I must say that CS Lewis is also fantastic. David Eddings produces tomes which are far more corpulent for me, alas, I just don't have the time to trudge through them all

I LOVE fantasy. Especially high fantasy (the kind that takes place entirely in its own world) but I'll settle for some good urban fantasy. I'm not sure I can list my favorite authors in my favorite order (You mean I have to CHOOSE?
)... but I'll list five that I love. I'm going to call J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis two authors I love as a given and that everybody already knows about, is that okay?
Peter S. Beagle (The Last Unicorn)
Terry Brooks (Shannara and Magic Kingdom of Landover)
Rick Riordan (LOVE Percy Jackson!)
Alison Croggon (Books of Pellinor)
Karen Hancock (Legend of the Guardian-King)

T. Brooks is also good! the last novel i read was, forget the title, but it's a combination, sort of, the Shannara series and the Knight of the Word. it's good, i was amazed on how he was able to patch those 2 different stories together. thanks!
