I have not done drinking to forget because i see it as a very depressing moment. Drinking to forget seems very sad and a last resort to escape the problem only for a few hours. It is not worth it I would say, but who am I saying this thing is bad when I haven't experienced a problem that i would resort to drinking. When I drink it is usually to celebrate something, like birthday, graduation, promotion and things like that. Why would a person drink to forget his problem if that person knows that the problem will not be solved? I think it is just a way to relax them from the stress that they get from the problem that they are suffering from. What do you think?

Drinking is really a addiction and not easy to quit all of sudden. But good thing is there are many rehabilition center for helping to get rid of these habits. Try them and make a great change in your life.

My idea:
You can drink to solve your problem by drink with your friends and talk about good thing or funny story, it help you to relax and maybe you can patient to solve your problem when you come home. Avoid to drink along it really harmful and not solve any problem you have.

Well there are sure a lot of things we would want to forget and that sure is something we cannot do anything about - unless of course if you would be having some kind of an amnesia... :D
Drinking to forget don't help, its going to make you feel sober, but after you have slept it off, the memories you wanted to forget will come back... as if it has been around and wa sonly set aside... so why bother to drink knowing you will never really forget?

well i drink to stop me from remembering my problems for a while but not really to forget them all together. Sometimes drinking helps me on what to do next because it helps me relax and think more clearly.

A little drink "might" take the edge off your normal professional life fatigue when you have it before your dinner...but IF you have more than that..it obviously means you need to drink more to forget...

"Drinking to forget" never really worked for me as I tend to be more sentimental when I'm under the influence. I drink to celebrate and have fun with friends. Of course, it still often winds down to a profound discussion of the intricacies of life, but oh well...
