I believe God is looking after me even though He is not answering my prayers! Like most humans I prey to win the lottery, believing that would make my life much easier. However, I feel if my numbers did come up my heart probably couldn’t handle the pressure. For this reason, I believe I am being looked after by above. Is God looking after you?

God is always looking after us and He want the best for us..Let me share you some thoughts:
"if you never felt pain, how would you know I'm a healer?
"if you never felt sadness, how would you know I'm a comforter?
"if LIFE is Perfect, how would you know ME? GOD.
Have a nice day always!!!!

If you've ever seen any of those programs about people who win the lottery or read any of the stories about them, you'd probably thank God who haven't won. More often than not, lottery winners don't know how to manage money and run amok spending. So called friends and unknown relatives come out of the woodwork wanting their share of the winnings and before you know it the money's gone because the leeches have bled you dry.
The Apostle Paul had the right idea when he said he had learned to be content in whatever his circumstance was. Jesus encouraged us to not worry about our needs because God would provide for them. Is God looking after me? Most definitely!

I find that whenever I wish really hard for something and it doesn’t come to pass I believe that it is more than likely for the best although it may not feel like it at the time! I have also learned that if I can let my expectations go which is very hard to do, they eventually happen for me in the most unexpected ways. So yes I do believe God looks after me very well!

Hi paula, since I started this discussion two very strange and positive things have happened. First, my brother repaid a debt going back to the seventies, and next I was offered accommodation until I return to Thailand. These two acts have taken the financial strain off the rest of my time here, and I thank God. I didn't need to lottery money.

Hi mipen. I believe that God is watching over us, for He is an omnipresent God; He is everywhere. Whatever we do, wherever we are, He is there. And with His presence, it gives me the courage to go on with my life and enjoy whatever blessings come my way. Cheers!^^

I believe that God is taking care of us all, but He left us total liberty regarding our decisions. It is useless to pray to win the lottery because these is a random machine which was created by human. God only gives us paths to follow, but He doesn't force us to go on that road. So ask God to give you strength to manage your things, but never ask Him to resolve them instead of you. This is how I feel about this.

I agree with your feelings, rappeter, praying for material things like wealth is selfish, and the point I was making is that being human, that's what many of us do. However, I don't need to win the lottery for God to take care if me. He is doing that in His own way.

God is looking after you, but there are certain prayers He will not answer. For instance if you won the lottery, part of the winnings would have come from poor people who bought a lottery ticket when they should have been feeding their families.
So I wonder if that is what you felt, because you saw all those old people buying tickets when they could not afford to because that is one of the things that keeps me from buying lottery tickets now and before I became a Christian, and I bought a few, I could see all those pensioners who needed the money and I felt very uncomfortable.
But it needed the realization that that is gambling money to make me stop and that our government should have not encouraged people to gamble to get money to build hospitals.

I can see what you're saying, but if I were to win part -a major part- of the winnings would go to to poor people, mostly orphaned children.
I don't drink, smoke, gamble (except for the lottery once a week) or go to the movies, so I am able to budfet for a small investment in a lottery ticket. Whether or not I have a lottery ticket, would have no influence on others, who cannot afford them.
Unfortunately, gambling is like a disease, and is bad, but in most countries it does provide badly needed funds for charities.

If God is looking after you he is answering your prayers. He is providd with the substance and the spirit to continue to survive. God does not play the lottery and maybe God knows that having that kind of money may cause more harm than good.

Yes, I believe that God is looking after me. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it though, especially when my prayers are unanswered. I remember one example where I prayed that God would help me find my way driving around in a place I've never been to before. This was before the invention of GPS devices. I got lost several times. I started to panic and felt I couldn't handle the pressure anymore and asked God why he didn't help me, or why isn't he making my life much easier. Finally, I did find my way to my destination, but there was no parking along the street in front of the building I wanted to go to. Suddenly, one car parked right in front of the building's main entrance left, and I was able to get that parking. So I was at the right place at the right time. I reflected on this and realized, if I had not gotten lost, I would have arrived too early and not found any parking. The delays I encountered enabled me to arrive at my destination at just the right time to be able to find parking. I guess God knew when that other guy was planning to leave so he set me up to arrive at just the exact and right moment. So whenever I feel frustrated that things aren't working out my way, I try to remember this, as well as other incidents in my life, to reassure myself that God is in control and is guiding and looking after me.

hi mike,
my smile just would not leave while i read this discussion of yours. its the heart giving up for too much happiness but yes, nothing is impossible with God. i was just thinking, usually, we get what we want but sometimes, what we have He gets in exchange. well maybe He is saying.. i will give you just enough for you to handle and give others what you have. Possible, isnt it?
Still i pray that you win the lottery and that your heart can take it all and if you feel that your heart would give up because of too much pressure.. i dont want you to suffer.. just give me half of the winnings and i am sure you will be fine.
cheers,
ann

Thank you ann. The reality is I don't need a lottery winn, as it would be too much money. However, there are other signs that God is taking care. Fisrt, my brother, who is in a home, repaid me some money that dated back to the seventies. Although not a large amount, it was a great bonus. Then this morning, I got an Email offering me a three week house sit through October. That means I have no rent to pay until November, and I have been invited to stay with the people I'm sitting for next month, so I have everything worked out until I fly back to Thailand.
I am really looking forward to Christmas this year, it will be something special. Mike.

God looks after everybody because he loves us all and we have to show that we do believe in him in order to show love back even though many bad things happen to me I still keep my faith to god that's something that can never be ruined or will be ever.

Mipen2006 I truly believe that God is watching over us. I too am wishing to win money off of scratch off's that I play for right now I am in a financial bind as is most people. However, God does not answer all prayers simply because if he did there would be no reason for us to call to him. I do thank my God for all of my blessings and for providing my needs despite my coming short of Him.

As long as you have faith, God will watch over you. However, that may not mean winning a large amount of money.

Yes. God is looking after me. I've proven this many times already. I had certain wishes for which an answered prayer has been done to me. Most of all, I experience God in all my finances. There are tough times that I may want to give up and look up to Him, seeking His assistance how will I ever surpass the trials I'm having right now. A sudden answered prayer of financial wealth will come by without any hassle at all. It is indeed a divine miracle. God's eyes are HOLY... He sees all of us, what's in our mind and in our hearts.

God is always looking after us. He knows what's best for us. And so, if we will ask him for something, we should really think it over and make sure it is what we really need. It should be relevant to our needs. And, most importantly, we should be prepared for it to happen. As the quote says, "in order for the ship to come in, your dock must be ready." Something like that^^.

I know praying for material things is not a really good thing, but I am human after all. If I were to win, I would only retain about 25%, the rest would go to orphaned children, with a little to my kids, and grandchildren. I do pray fro others, and things that would make our world a better place.
