Would this summer heat affect your temper?

We all experience this unusual summer heat of this summer. Everyday since we turn to July, the temperature is above 90 degrees, sometimes it reached up to 100s. I just couldn't resist this heat and I guess have to spend more money on the electric bills. From what I saw, some of people I knew, they were getting a little bit edgy, maybe due to this summer heat I guess. They became impatient, and easily get offended, not like what they used to be. Would that be the summer heat factor? What about you, would the hot temperature affect your temper and mood?

I saw a lot of people have hot temper lately. They just like what you described, getting super grumpy. After they cooled down, they are all right!

Hi. kingparker. I think that the heat has affected many others in many ways. I know that it has affected me quite a bit. I don't like to be outside when it is very hot. I also am very picky about the gnats and flies that are around when I am outside with my kids. I don't like waiting on the school bus for a long period of time. It is just so hot outside and I would prefer to remain indoors as much as possible.

When I was in highschool we done band camp over two weeks every year i was in band. We outside from 8 in the morning until 8or 9 at night. We got breaks and stuff in between but drank a lot of water and soft drinks and power ade. We tried to take the afternoons for learning music so that way we could be inside for the most part. Heat does get to people. Especially if you are around the same people day in and day out and out in the heat. We argued a lot, but we stayed close. You could penetrate the inner circle in other words. But the heat can get to you.

Yea its true that the summer hear really affects temper.I really get irritate to face the heat in the summer.I feel lazy to wake from my bed and go around. Our body temperature never cools down but instead increases and makes us so hot and hot.Even we can't walk bare foot inside the room.

yep i think it would because wen im working out the heat is unbareable its impossible to train in clamy hot weather and wen i dont work out for my usual period of time then i get very moody more aggressive maybe because of testostarone i dunno but it is wierd how my mood is different to wen i train for my usual amount of time

yes, i do think it has somewhat an affect on people. i've noticed this affect on some people as well. i can see why. maybe rain and cooler weather is what the middle east needs to calm tensions down, lol. no, seriously i think it would help. loss of hydration does have an affect on peoples sanity. people stranded at sea floating around in the ocean take a chance on drinking salt water because their so thirsty. its the worst thing that they could do as it just drys them out from the inside faster. one guy stranded at sea said people who drank the salt water were 10 times crazier then the craziest drunk you would ever see.

Oh yes I would say absolutely! When the temperature rises so does everyone's temper. I find myself losing my temper easily when I am hot and sweaty more so than I would if I were cool. The humidity here in the southeastern states of the US also gives us an extra punch to go along with the heat.

Luckily high temperature in summer in my city is quite normal and common. And I have become to accept and tolerate the heat in summer already. So after training,I think hot temperature will not affect my temper too much, but a little is still left.I think almost no one can react impassively to such bleeding weather

Yes it affects my temper a lot because I get really cranky and get mad really easily still it's not my fault it's more of the heats fault I just hate the heat so much. I prefer it better when it is winter I love that time of the season because I'm always happy and I'm ready for it too because I bought a coat from ebay and I know that it will keep me nice and warm through out the winter time. Still I can't wait till summer is over because I really hate the heat.

This is my first summer in the UAE. I have never been in a temperature of 52 degrees in my life. Its a tough time to go out without the car. Travelling has been tough.

Not at all, I like hot weather so it only makes me happier but most definitely not angrier. I really like the summer.

We would all like to say that the summer heat doesn't affect our temperment It probably would not be an honest statement to make. I know that when it it hot and sultry outside, my temper can be quicker than at other times. The heat just drains your body and you take it out on the first person or situation that comes along.

I am horrible in the heat. I don't know if I overheat or what but I usually get a headache at the least, I feel drained and just feel like blah. I would rather have fall weather I like it a lot better I feel a lot better too. This summer I have a daycare and the kids just want to be outside all the time. I do my best and just stay in the shade most of the time, good thing my yard has two really good shade trees. I often get very moody when I am too hot to. It does seem like my husband and I have more fights in the summer months.

Hello Kingparker. Summer can't come soon enough for me and I like it hot but today was unbearable here. It was hot but there was hardly any air and I only had to walk across the room and I started to sweat. When it's like that I get impatient and short tempered but I don't mean it personally, I just can't stand being uncomfortable.

I have a hard time dealing with the heat. Not only the fact that I have MS but I live in Jamaica.Heat is a common aggravating factor in MS. With a one-degree elevation in temperature, new symptoms may appear or old ones may re-appear. The elevation in temperature may be due to environmental heat, fever from an infection or exercise. Although heat dose not bring on an attack, it is a good idea to avoid heat from sunbathing, saunas or hot showers.
