Ok so I have been dying for a Kindle for a long time now. With the recent price reduction I have been very tempted to just go online and order one. But then I heard that Barnes and Noble has a similar item the Nook. I like the fact that I can actually go to the store and look at it and get one right there rather than order the Kindle and hope I like it when it comes. THEN...the iPad comes along and makes me even more confused. I have been wanting a new laptop as well...so I was thinking I should just save up for an iPad. They are just so exspensive so I'm a little wary on purchasing that right now.
I plan on buying an iPhone in December when my contract is up and I can get an upgrade discount.
What should I get?? The the Kindle and iPhone? Nook and iPhone? iPad and iPhone? Just the iPad? Just the iPhone? Ugh.... I'm sooo confused. If you have any of those products let me know what you think of them.

Well Kindle is just an e-book reader.Nook also does the same job. They really can do anything else other than e-book,audio-books or some music.
But when it comes to iPAD, they tables get turned. Well you can actually do a lot of things on iPAD like reading ebooks, epaper, news, chatting, video streaming, movies, music web browsing and much more. Such experience is not provided by Kindle or Nook.
So, if you budget allows you to purchase an ipad, then why not go for it.

Kindle and ipad are both great products and peacefully co-exists. The Nook has an easy access book store with a color display of the store, but so does the new ibook store, and ibook store looks a lot more easier to browse. Now like Kindle,Nook uses E ink for page display making it easier on the eyes for long term reading. The ipad uses a LED-backlight, which is more for short term reading and not as easy on the eyes. For folks that like color displays and are more short term at a time reader but can then also use the kindle apps on the ipad to access the amazon library.
So bottom line is kindle can survive in the ipad ecosystem, but I don't think the Nook can. Amazon will sell a ton of e-books with a ipad with a far superior and well established library.
Though Nook and kindle doesn't charge for download, iPad charges for download. The Nook and kindle come in a paperback book size while iPad is larger and less convenient when throwing into your bag or pocket. Books for the kindle and Nook are less expensive, by significant margin. The Nook is the only reader with a brick, and mortar store that allows you to browse hard copy books and eBooks while in the store. Nook owners and lend eBooks to other Nook owners.
Even though iPad is a bit larger but you get more skin real estate and it is a bit thinner than a kindle. As far as the expense of books goes this appears to be changing as Amazon is having to negotiate a pricing deal with Macmillan Publishers, more publishers are sure to follow. In terms of a brick and mortar argument just doesn't sway people anymore than going to a music store where there is iTunes. Lending books is ok, that is a great feature I will grant you.
So now it's your choice. check back all alternatives and decide which is the best option for you. Good Luck!!

If budget allowed and you wish to have a gadget that more than just e-Book reader, definately go for iPad. If you are pure book reader and have limited budget, then Kindle might be a good choice. With iPad launching, actually it stimulate the market about the demand for tablet PC, so there'll be more and more different type of tablet PC will be lauched in next one year, so you'll have even more choice in future.
