Well as far as the Filipinos are concern, what Pres. Noynoy said yesterday on his first State of the Nation Address, were truly mind blowing. Those expose on GMA's project were truly disappointing. Let us just hope and pray that P-Noy would keep his words. As what I see, he is keeping his word. There are few people who are dismay about this SONA, well those people are of course the people behind the anomaly that P-noy exposes yesterday. So what do you think about the SONA yesterday?

Truly, Pnoy has become a politician, he just want cuts from Arroyo's squandered wealth, I believe what Pnoy has said are all true, all his claims of what arroyo did in her term are fat accusations, what are his moves now, its a wait and see, but there is nothing to wait for. Sona are just mere scripted speech.

He clearly stated accusation of illegal acts/ wrong doing by the past administration and yet in his 100 days he has not acted on it. He is good in making speeches but we need actions to reform our country.

I dont trust PNOY, though he's known to his kind-heart, i believe today, philippines need an expert economist. it's not a matter of character anymore. i still believe in Mrs. Arroyo's capacity.

i didn't watch his SONA yesterday but some of my friends commented that, the SONA was not that fruitful, they said that it was just a mere grievances about the arroyo administration and having no solutions discussed is the lame part on his SONA. For me, i don't care about the speech i just want him to act and that's all i want. no further fuss just go right to the point and do whatever is best to the progress of our country. That's all.

I think many are disappointed for they are thinking that P. Noy will be elaborating his plans of making the Philippines great again. But do we really need to hear promises? What I like in the SONA is the thought of making the government system work as it was designed. I think the MWSS, NFA and DPWH anomalies were highlighted to show how the government system was used to favor the few instead of using it for the better good. The BOC and BIR were also mentioned because we all know that these are corruption-laden institutions in the country. As I see it, the priority of this present administration is to get back the corrupted government institutions in their proper functions. That is enough for me.

From the very first day that P-Noy announced his presidential candidacy, I was already his number 1 voter. I really followed his political career. His critics stated that you can count on your fingers the number of things he did for the country during his reign. My arguments are he's just too simple and to humble to brag all his achievements. Have you seen his face even on a small tarpaulin for a project like what other politicians displays? Have you heard his name dragged on a scam or scandal?
Most importantly, he knows that to alleviate poverty, we have to improve the education system. He accepted the challenge on providing a better education for less fortunate Filipinos. He knows that the main resource of the country is manpower, thus, improving the skills of our people will bring prosperity to the country.

Although I expected that he would divulge some anomalies, I was still shocked at the brazenness of this government. Some of the rumors turned out to be true because I suppose PNoy checked the facts first. I distinctly remember the one about the alleged rice shortage and the rumors that the government was stockpiling them. I also heard about the fat bonuses of the MWSS and they are true. I was appalled by the MWSS president who defended the allowances and found nothing immoral about it. I am sure they made it legal, but is it moral?
However, I was hoping for a more concrete legislative agenda so that he can really fight corruption with the help of the other branches of government.

Surprisingly, I agree with what Manny Pacquiao said in his statement when he was asked of his opinion about the SONA. He said that we should not be dwelling on those controversies which happened before and the problems it brought in our country. Instead we should focus on how we are going to solve those problems. I believe he's right. The state of the nation address is where the president of the country will report his accomplishments and/or plans for the coming years. We should stop pointing out other people's faults, instead we should be planning out how we could alleviate or lessen the effects of those faults. We should leave the judgment, trial, persecution to those in charge of doing it. We should just do our job and let them do theirs.
I also think it would never work if you're exposing others faults just to make yourself look good.

Indeed, we should not be dwelling on controversies. And the things stated in the SONA are not controversies but the real state of our nation. As P. Noy have stated so many times, we could not just act and do things without knowing where we are really right now.
I do hope Pacquaio's advisers will inform him rightfully of the real situation of his district before they will think of making legislation.

I wasn't able to watch the entire SONA telecast yesterday because I have a work, so I just listened to live streaming afterwards, I heard the anomalies of PGMA time being exposed and I don't know what to comment honestly. Let's just hope for a better Philippines.
