I never had any experience with an iPad, but, it seems like a pretty cool device. I don't know much of it's adventages over a laptop, but if anybody out there are currently an owner of one, I would love to hear what advantages it has over an laptop. Anyways, would you recommend an iPad over an laptop?
Thanks for your suggestions (^.^)

An iPad, it seems, is just a laptop with touchscreen controls like today's mobile phones. It's ideal for people who are always on the move or working on their feet. If your work or job involves you to be on your feet like a secretary or salesperson, an iPad is a good choice.
If your work or job involves you being on your desk most of the time, you need a laptop.

I do not have an Ipad. But reading at the specs, I noticed that there are limitations to what it can do and it cannot substitute for what the laptop can deliver. In my case, I find the laptop better to use considering the things I do with my work. Well, if there is an extra money, then an Ipad would be great to have. But its more of a fashion trend for me if assuming I would buy it. I will just stick to my laptop for the moment since I have all what I need in it.

Ipad seems to be cool, but not as reliable for everyday use as laptops. Plus you get more computing power in laptops with more processor speed, RAM. I would never choose ipad if given for a choice between a laptop and an ipad but, i could buy it just for fun, lol. I am not going to buy that thing for working on it, it's just for fashion. I know it has got a lot of apps but that is not going to bother me much. A Sony laptop anyday!

Never! I don't own an iPad but it's features compared to that of a netbook computer is completely dumbed down. It depends what you want to get out of your device. Do you need something to just do some light surfing on the internet with if so get the iPad although a laptop would do the same job better. I heard the iPad was quite fast to switch and be ready to be used that's one advantage but I it doesn't support flash which you may need. A laptop can play CDs and is likely to be better value for money.
If I was you I really wouldn't waste my money on an iPad because even though it is a cool device it's not worth the money and you are better off with a laptop which can do a little more than surf the web and download silly apps. That's what an iphone is for ;)

its depend on the need of a person for a particular task.if your work is on the go,i mean there is a lot of travel but you have to make some reporting and saving the data ans also need internet connection,go for ipad its better to use compare to a smartphone and its light weight compare to a laptop so can easily to bring anywhere. but if your work is more on editing like photo and video you have to go on the laptop since laptop is much powerful compare to ipad..
