I came across this unbelievable story about a woman's negligence with her dog.
Now we all know, or at least we should know how dangerous it is to leave children or pets unattended and locked up in a car, especially during the hot sweltering summer weather. Well this woman went to do some shopping for pet supplies and left her dog in the car. When she got back, she found and discovered her dog had died due to the extreme heat.
Oh, but here's the rub...What did she do? Did she feel remorse? Sadness? Shock to see her dog had died? NOOOO! She went back to the store to return the pet supplies she just bought for her now dead dog.
Here's the article:

I just don't understand people at times, do you? Do you often prefer people over animals? I know I do. Our pets rely on us, they have no voice, and then for them to be treated like this ticks me off no end. Maybe that woman should be shoved in a hot steamy car.

No, I would never leave anyone in a car, not in this heat.Of course with my puppies, I can't take them anywhere without the meds the vet gave me. (They both get car sick) But if they could, and I went into a store, I would take someone with me and leave the car on and the AC going..Or at least the windows down..

I can't understand people that insist on taking their pet(s) in a car and then shop leaving them inside like that...they should just leave them home, right?

Yeah, unless they are stopping at the store for some items for a trip they are on. Like if my puppies ever get over their car sickness, I'd love to take them to the local state park and on the way, pick up some picnic items and have a picnic either before or after our hike..But that probably won't happen until next year..And like I said, I'd leave them with the A/c running or leave someone with them with the windows down..

I so agree. I have made the comment to afew people at different times too. I think this woman was only thinking of herself and this is another thing I see so much of today. I miss the time when I was younger and my grandmother was alive. She was wonderful with animal and felt the same hurt and emotion when we lost favorite pets. Now there are very few who understand. People are just so self interested now days.

Very callous. And how in the moment of her. Some people are so amazing. Just another reason I am a recluse!

Oh my word. That's horrible. Anyone gets to be a parent, and it seems like anyone can also be a pet owner. And that's too bad for both child and pet. But to me and countless others, are pets are like our kids. And what she did, I have no words.

hi pye do you know what my son would say reading this article and he prides himself on being logical and unemotional, hah, he would say
that woman should be handcuffed and left in a car in 130 degree heat and see just how she would like it? I too cannot understand people. so she did not weep or be f urious with herself for having left her pet to die? but she just took the stuff back? wow. how heartless can you get. Pye I was amazed and wanted to laugh at my son, who tries to show how logical he always is, he has a cat who adopted him. Okay but whats so fun is that he is so proud of the cat being fond of him hes taken pictures and put on his website of his new pal. It is a beautiful tom with black and white stripes, and he is the proud possessor of this cat, I think the Cat feels he owns my son., he he,My son was telling me how he tries to type and the cat is there trying to help him. I am so glad he has this new friend, as I know hes not too crazy about sharing a room with another guy.So I now have high hopes for my so called unemotional son. lol

Yeah, that woman should be handcuffed in the car in that 130 degree heat--wonder if they ever charged her with animal cruelty??? Haven't seen any updates about the story

I can not believe these people.. what kind of bubble do they live in that they don't hear these types of HORROR stories every year and LEARN not to do this.. and how can you not have even the tiniest bit of commons sense to know if it's 104 outside that it's going to be A LOT hotter in your car the second you roll up the damn windows and shut the A/C off..
Honestly, can't we just start getting rid of these stupid people..?

I can never understand why people take their dogs if they know they are going shopping. A lot of people do that around here...not so much leave dogs in cars, but tie them up to a pole outside the store...then they wonder what happened if their dog is missing

I remember this scene from a movie, the name of which I can't recollect...the female character in the movie shouts at john Voight the villain in the movie that "you are an animal" and he responds back saying "worse...I am a Human"...that about sums up the difference between animals and self gloriously categorized humans...I wonder if the lady's reaction would have been the same if it was her own child....

i was so disgusted when i heard that.
she seemed to have no remorse at all.
you want to hear a good story tho:
my town has an infamous folk festival..a few years ago, someone had left a dog in their car-in august-windows rolled all the way up while attending the festival(jerks..and dogs are allowed on the lawn too).
loudspeaker:attention-this is the fire department-plate XXXXY,unattended dog in car-
come immediately back to your car
(boos from audience)
loudspeaker five seconds later:attention car XXXXY,nevermind,we are breaking your windows and taking your dog into the vet.we will find you shortly with our friends in blue.you have violated penal code 627.
(cheers from audience)

Oh Pye, what a horrible story! Actually the fact that she even thought to go in and return the pet supplies she'd just bought confirms what leaving her dog in the hot car already tells us about her. With all the awareness regarding leaving a child alone at all and an amimal or child in a hot car with no ventilation there is no excuse for this to be still happening. People that do this just don't care.

How can you not know that that's dangerous after all the articles written about children and animals left in hot cars. Hopefully this woman will never own another dog.

Animals can be a great friend and comfort to you. They don't talk back to you. They don't expect anything from you. All they do is give their love to you. If only people could treat each other this way!

When will people learn? As soon as it starts to get warm, you hear stories about people leaving their children or pets in hot cars. Anyone with any sense or EVER listens to the news should know better! Then to be so heartless, as to return the supplies she bought for the dog, she didn't deserve him! It's a shame he had to die when someone else might have cared for him properly.

That is horrible i myself consider my dog as my child to leave a (child) in a car let it pass away and feel nothing in your heart is wrong. In her head there is something wrong she deserves to be punished in the worst way possible. This is where the saying what goes around comes around needs to be come true.

I think they should start tagging license plates or make them ride around with a big message on the back of their cars that says: "I KILLED MY DOG...I AM AN ANIMAL ABUSER!"
That poor dog, I don't even want to imagine what he went through, it makes me sick to my stomach. And the worse part is, she didn't care.
There should be a way to stop people like this from getting any more animals, but she will I'm sure.

There was a news item on last night about a guy who left his two kids in the car for 20 minutes while he went into Walmart to buy work shoes. It was a day when the tempature hit over 90 degrees.
People just don't think, or they just don't care.
Really, can they really be that stupid?

Honestly, this just makes me so mad. I prefer my dog to almost everyone I know. She is sweet and kind and always brings a smile to my face. I recently dog sat some neighbors dogs. Once I already agreed to do the job, I was told they leave the dogs in the garage all day till someone comes home. It broke my heart and I could not take the job. These people are very nice and normal people and I still don't understand why they think this is a good thing to do.

that lady should not be taking care of any pet because she doesn't know how to love them.. what she has done is useless and that made me angry. does she know nothing about the possibilities about leaving behind a dog behind in a high temperatured place? what unfortunate that dog has become... tsk2x..
i don't know how someone be emotionless when an animal is in pain maybe they are really that bad person..
