What is the importance of seeing your chatmate in.....webcam??

Webcam gives more personal touch as your chat mate can easily see you expression and face and can judge whether you are interested in him or not. Sometimes men like to cht with webcam to see the pics of beutiful girl,and if the girl is notbeutiful they then won't chat with her. I don't prefer to use webcam while chat, coz I don't want to share my personal identity with strangers.

I don't mind webcam chat as long as both people are using one. There's just something strange about chatting with someone who is watching YOU but you can't see THEM! It's probably only a matter of time before most phones include two-way video capability. Sometimes I'd like to go back to the simpler days.

its important to have a cam mostly if you love that person. you need see the person face also to be sure the person is who she says she is. there are a lot of liars in internet so for sure having webcam is very important if you are chatting with someone^^ so thats normal if they leave for this reason bcs they are afraid you might be lying to them.

it is very important because , it feels so real and close to our friends and family even if they are somewhere,to see and hear their voice help a lot ease the emptiness of their presence.

Hello Mods. I only chat to friends and family online so I have no qualms about using my webcam. It's nice to see people who I haven't seen for a while even though it's only on the screen. I don't believe in using a webcam to chat to strangers like some people do and the kids certainly don't get to do that. Like all things, webcams are good but only if they're used right :)

same here, my chatmates want to view me on webcam, but i dont want to show myself on cam, especially if im not prepared, like if i just woke up,,, ^^i don't use webcam if im not familiar with the person too, but sometimes, i use it, especially if i feel like showing my chatmate myself,,, for me, the main reason of others using webcam is to know if you are a poser or not and to see if the avatar you are using is the real you,,, i do that sometimes too, only if we are of the same age though,,, ^^ hehehehe

During the time when telcos monopolized the communication industries, we dream of talking to our love ones on the phone and at the same time seeing each other in each other's end. Now that it is a reality, I guess we better take the opportunity to appreciate the reality brought about by high technology. Besides, watching your friends, relatives and loves ones while we talk with them gives us a little tickle and joy while we appreciate the appearance of the one we are talking to.

Hi, pal! Actually I prefer the old style mirc (I wander if somebody here knows it). It was popular chat software over 10 years ago. At that time, there was something really interesting and mysterious about chatting. No one though that just after few years we will be able to do video chatting. But, I thing that all these modern types of communication are forcing the people to stay home . . . chatting . . . I forgot about many friends when skype started to rule the world.

It's important so as to see if the one on the other end is trustworthy. Sometimes there are chatters who pose as girls but they are not, instead, they're gays. lol. So cams are really important and you can interact better too.

it also shows the nonverbal responses of the person. the expression and gestures you see would define one's personality. =)

in this case you can see who they are and you will find that they were telling the thruth about how they look like..

You have to feel the way they look cause everything we think in our brain will have a visual effect in our mind .Our mind is more specific about things so it will be better if we know the person we are talking to..It increases your comfortability zone
