are there viruses on torrents?

I'm browsing through the torrents and some comments say that these files have viruses...how true?

yes there are, so its best to wait for the comments on said torrented file. but its fairly uncommon because the torrent sites regulates itself.

Yes, there are viruses in torrents. Some people are just plain malicious. When I was just a newbie in downloading, I was victimized by a file and my entire system crashed. From then on, I always checked the comments and I only download from reliable sites.

Yes there are a lot. It is really important to check on the comments and reviews sections to know whether the files you are trying to download are clean. if you are still unsure, the least you can do is to scan each and every file you download from torrent.
