lols. I AM a born-vegetarian, from INDIA.. and, i am as healthy, if not more healthy, as any other .. who are meat-eaters.
but, if you are asking about the animal-protein, which is said to be a requirement of the body, ... the vegans compensate by drinking milk, and eating milk based products.
i think, there is no proper authentic information about this subject. at least to my research purview.

Hi! Not to contradict you on your response but vegans do not drink milk (at least not the milk of any animal) or consume any milk based products unless that milk is from a bean/vegetable/nut -- as in soy milk or almond milk. Vegans consume no animals or animal products. Thanks for your response, I too am healthier than any meat eaters I know.

oh JayJay, .. so, vegans are more stricter! ... it is something called JAIN-MEAL, on flights.. right?
i presumed VEGANS to be just pure leaf-eaters, and the so called vegetarians.. .. you seem to indicate, they never even allow animal protein.
but, primates, .. according to the theory of evolution, MONKEYS, APES, and the lot... which appear to be only vegetarians, .. eating leaves, shoots, fruits and nuts, also eat BUGS .. and, dried out skin from their own kith and kin.. to compensate .. it is said in some papers... that WE all do need animal protein ... but, I don't understand how this is compensated in vegans...

As humans we need PROTEIN but it does not need to be animal protein, and in fact animal protein is a lesser quality protein and harder for the body to simulate. Vegetable proteins are easier for the body to use and do not contain nearly as much fat or any of the bad cholesterols. Edamame for instance has a higher quality protein than any animal protein out there. Also many grains contain protein in a much more usable form for humans than animals do, and at a much lower cost (both financially and healthwise).
If these primates are eating nuts, they do not need to eat skin or bugs to compensate. I believe I read somewhere that they eat bugs as a delicious treat, not something they do on a regular basis, or to compensate for a lack of protein...You might want to look at the source of those papers you are reading about how we all need animal protein. They could be written by meat producing industries who will tell you anything to get you to buy their products.
Just remember this: when you consume animal products you are also consuming what they've eaten and been injected with!

Hello as age advances, we found meat, fish etc took more time to get digested, so why not fresh vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage, turnip, tomoto etc etc, more over the cost is less, it took time to give up, but we could do it.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers.
God bless you, have a nice day ahead.
