The IT and related indutry are very helpfull in a country's development.First advantage is that people get employement though it and second is govt.will collect a huge revenues.Thus it will solve unemployment problem of a country and leads it towards a higher growth.

yep...i believe so...from where i am, it actually adds jobs and more opportunities for training, given the fact that the only thriving group of IT companies are multinational...=)

The IT industry is definitely helpful for national development. See the examples of China and India. China has recently touched foreign reserves worth $1 trillion mainly because of exports (that too, computers and hardware).
Similarly, India has surged on the IT Software front, taiwan on the electronic goods front and Japan on all fronts. IT industry definitely has improved the 'look' and feel of India!
