One of the greatest gifts we can give another human being is to be there for them. Whether it's related to something specific or is an ongoing commitment, we can both benefit from such an association. When we walk with them in challenging times and see them through safely to the other side, we grow with them and they derive confidence from our support and assistance, enabling them to persevere through almost any situation. Do you agree?

Long time no see Pose!:=)As always, I agree with your post. One great thing that we can do to someone who is emotionally down is the willingness to listen instead of giving advice. A simple tap on the shoulder or just a time to accompany him or her truly helps. These simple ways can absolutely give someone strength to move on. Of course, we can also learn from what they are going through. Cheers!^^

I am often afraid to help, I have a very strong personality and it is easy for me to take over and impose my response on another. I must be very careful. Problems are in our lives to teach us lessons and this means we must find the solutions.
I can give advise but it is best I do so at a distance. Years ago I got a great deal of satisfaction by helping people but that was an ego trip for me and had very little to do with the growth of the person I was helping. My motives were not clear. Now I hope I have control of that tendency.

Sometimes I am also too helpful for my own good. Some people just don't reciprocate that concern and care you have for them. But I try not to complain because what if I too have failed to give back the care and concern given to me by someone else?
