Recently in my town a radio station(106.1) here went under a change. It was "The oldies- 50s, 60s, and 70s" my mother used to listen to it all the time. Now I'm 26 years old, this station has now been renamed GenX radio, which plays songs from when i was in middle and highschool.
I was at a party the other night with a bunch of friends and someone asked the random question, "At what point should we start to feel old?" and someone piped up with "When 106.1 is OUR oldies station!" Everyone laughed but then things got a little quiet and it was like- well....shucks. lol
Part of me finds this absolutely hilarious, the other part does feel old. lol anyone going through this?

At a point when I realize backstreet boys music had been released in 1995-2000, when Britney Spears' performance with skin tight clothes at MTV Music Awards was already 10 years ago, and also when my 15 year old cousin didn't even know the song Unbreak My Heart from Toni Braxton, which was crazily popular at that time. Now, I'm only 22 years old going to be 23 in August, it's crazy how time flies by

music makes a person feel old as well as young at differnt times and situations.. however as far as i am concerned. it makes me feel old when i recall anything old enuf and long time back by co-realting it to the music. this makes me feel as if i have grown older..
