this morning upon getting up. i wanna start my day to browse the net and do my usual thing online. my computer or desktop is in side my room. and from here i feel like i am locked inside a confined place. sometimes i wish it is easy to bring my desktop anywhere the house. so i wished that i could have save enough money to buy laptop. cause i wanna enjoy the morning sun while i am on the net. so i wanna use a laptop on my kitchen where there is enough sunlight going through our glass roof. and i wanna feel relaxed being online any where in the house. do you think is it really worth enough to buy a laptop. i am planning to save to buy a laptop that is not that expensive. as long as it has wifi and does not need to have big specs. as i won't save or download any programs on the laptop as i have my desktop to download applications already. so can you recommend cheapest laptop that is durable enough and not prone to breaking down or malfunctioning that easily . and is cheap enough to be repaired. so what do you think what is the cheapest laptop or notebook worth buying just browsing the net and for posting.

hi hotsummer, if you need a cheap laptop just for browsing web and posting, the hp mini is good option. If its still out of your budget, then you can have a look at DataWind UbiSurfer netbook. Its the cheapest netbook available in the market for Rs.8000(U.S. $170). And if this netbook is still out of your budget, then grab a second hand netbook or a laptop from a dealer or any of your friend/known person who wishes to sell his/her laptop. This would be the best option for you if you dont want to spend much and need it urgently. Else, its always better to wait and save some money so that you can buy a good laptop after few months with better features.

only requirement i need besides browsing the need is it should have wifi. and i just can put in usb cable in it. other features in don't need. it does not need to store lots of applications but it does not to store enough applications for my browsing and etc. i don't need to store music and videos. just some pictures are enough. and also it should not be slow. just fast enough for me to enjoy my internet browsing experience and that does not hang a lot if i get to open more than one tab at a time.

that is really great. but i have read though it does not support video streaming. according to what i have read online just a while ago. anyways, i am from philippines. i am still looking for some information on how much it may cost in our local currency and where i can buy this locally. it is quite interesting that this one needs a sim card to connect to the net. but still quite amazing.hope the signal on this one is quite good enough to get wifi and 3g signal.

yeah, the option that i've suggested will support every feature you want. Its got WiFi, LAN port, 3 USB ports, 1GB RAM and 160 GB hard Drive. DataWind UbiSurfer netbook has slightly less configuration but has everything you want like WiFi, USB, 512MB RAM and 80GB Hard Drive. It even got a 3G SIM slot. So if you have 3G access in your country, then you can put the 3G SIM into this netbook and surf internet wherever you want.

it is funny when you say "Only GOd knows when". cause i feel with the lack of money only God knows when i can have a laptop or will i get a netbook instead. so for me it all depends on GOd i will have or not . i may work hard to save but still it is God who will allows things to happen and will bless me with work for me to earn enough money to save for it.

Yes, it is really worth it. I suggest you start saving for one. If you have a laptop you can still be productive while enjoying the convenience it can give you. You can bring it anywhere.

Hi hotsummer, I would say yes it is worth it, you don't need to save a lot of money. I wish i could help you choose but yeah, since you want to use it mainly for the purpose of browsing you could get yourself a netbook rather than a laptop coz that is specifically used for internet and would be cheaper than a laptop, although i have never used a netbook before. I hope you find some information on the internet but if you ask me, i would say yes, it's worth saving in for a cheap netbook or a laptop with a reasonable configuration. Good day.

yeah i will consider your advice. i am quite confused with so many gadgets lately. there is net books, notebooks, laptop, i wonder what else would be invented that looks similar to laptop. so i hope that it is just as cheap like $200. and nothing more. i can afford it if that is how cheap it can get. but it gets like $250 or $300 or more i doubt i would be able to afford it any more.

If you want to use laptop only for net & posting then you should buy HP MINI which just costs 250$ approx(12,500 INR).

i have not heard of that. 250$ is quite expensive for me. i will try to search it out in our local stores. but usually electronic items and gadgets here cost more compared to price in other countries. so it may cost $300 here. if it cost $250 in your country.

Yep, its worth it. I suggest getting a good laptop instead of just a mini hp. If you get a good quality laptop you probably won't need your desktop so you could sell it to get the money for the laptop. Look around, do some research and have an idea of what kind of laptop you are getting.
