whats spam?

i receive few spam mails to my mail account about some donation and some thing else after joining some PTC sites, maybe some may be saying true but how do we distinguish spam from good ones, what does spam stands for and when did it stated to came around to survive in internet, to my knowledge it was around 2003 when US government introduce law against spam and when it was at its peak, spam can also use to hack our password and username and may cause much trouble to us

spam is just mail this seperated from normal mail. mail from companies and such that just fill your mailbox with random stuff is usually spam.

i kow just scribbling some unusal links and sending from unknown adderss will result to spam and it has a deep history resulted to it and when US government tried to rub it down they were not not, they acutlly had to deal with 619687 spams per day and thats a lot of spam mails, it regularly deals with irregular contnets
