Man and woman have different tastes in watching movies?

Hmmm... at a certain point, I agree. Man loves action and suspense types of movies, so they are fond of James Bond, Bourne Series and the like. While women are more emotional, they like chick flicks, love stories and so on. However, sometimes, it also depends on the individual. If a person is more of a critic or he is really a fan of movies that the genre doesn't really matter, then most likely he watches every movie that he wants to. I suppose animated, comedy and family movies are really fun to watch when you have company so it's for everybody.

Well, my husband likes action movies and I like drama. But we both like comedy. But for an instance where we have to watch a movie together, mostly we differ in what we're paying attention to. Like he tends to zone out when there's an action scene, that's when I go get the popcorn or something. :P And on the dramatic scenes, he goes and looks for some drinks. lol... I go mostly for the storyline. So yeah,. I'd say men and women differ tastes in watching movies.

predominantly, men are into action while women are into love stories when it comes to watching movies. however it doesn't hold true always. i think regardless of genre, both men and women would want to get themselves entertained. it could perhaps be a comedy or animation, a favorite movie star, or book/novel-made-into-a-movie, an action stunt, romance or just getting the thrills. so it differs for one person to another... what they find entertaining. in my case i go for all kinds of movies except that when watching on the big screen, i don't like horror films and tear-jerkers and another chic-flick type of movies. i usually go for action-adventure, sci-fi, romantic comedies and animated films... depending on who i'm going to the movies with... friends or family or kids. hehe

My boyfriend and I are major movie buffs. We are at the movies at least once a week. We take in a lot of action films and both of us come out of most of them pretty happy. I will admit that we appreciate different aspects of these movies. For instance, when we saw the Covenant on DVD, he raved about the special effects and the fight scenes. I basically noticed that they cast a lot of cute guys. Go figure.

I think women goes to emotion while men go for the enjoyment.

Rightly said...men and women do have different movie taste...women like mostly emotional, love films...men like more action stuff, more logical..May not be 100% true though. The movies that me and better half like together are the ones which are light hearted and comedies...no emotional...no boring...not too much action...just the ones we watch after which we feel refreshing..thats it.

romactic comedy, action-adventure, comedy.and horror, In my view the only genre that women usually don't like like man does is action movies..

Hello my name is Sarah and I am a woman who Hates , Hates Chick flicks.I loathe Romantic Comedies. I don't find them romantic nor funny. i rather see an action film, thank you. I think it all depends on the man and the woman. I have a male friend who Loves romantic comedies. But if you need a genre, try a straight forward drama like The Reader.Or maybe a musical. But then again a musical can be tricky too. It can work if you both love the same type of music.

I like both "male" and "female" genres.But in general, yes,women and men have different tastes.My male cousins and friends prefer movies where the good guys go after bad guys,movies include lots of action, fight scenes.I can watch that too if the movie has some idea in it, something bigger than just smashing the faces.I choose war movies or detectives when I want something serious.I like psychological thrillers very much. I enjoy all the genres, except one.At the moment I'm allergic to animation. And there are exceptions among male individuals too.Some guys watch romance movies not because they were dragged to the cinema by their gf's, but because they like it.I don't think that this makes them gay.There are exceptions everywhere.

Well I know some females like funny movies and some action movies.Tho my tomboy sister likes to watch science fiction movies with me and some anime.

I think for the most part I would say yes because as a women I like movies about movie and comedy. It seems like men are more into action and movies with a bunch of killing.
