Try to obey the rules provided by orkut to be secure. Sign out properly while using it in a public place.

Use strong password. It should have as many letters numbers and even special characters if you can. And you should check your account daily and have a look at your previous entries. Change your password regularly and most importantly is never tell anyone your password. Always make sure that you remember the security question and answer.
