Can you change the operating system of a phone?

I have nokia n72. It has symbian inside it.At start it felt amazing,after a year now it is just freezing,hanging,not responding.so if i could somehoe change the os of the mobile to something else could be better.Any suggetions appreciated.

well i dont think its possible best thing to do is hard reboot your phone.

First try with different software once.And you can even try to search same kind of OS but in different company/latest company which is having more facilities and advanced. If it also doesn't work then you can better go for a new mobile.In fact you can change the parts but it wont function properly like a brand new mobile .

Try reinstalling your operating system. I don't think it is possible to change your O.S. and even it would be possible I don't think things would be better as the current operating system is designed for your phone.
