Garlic is only adding fuel to food, but also many health benefits. A few cloves of garlic for flavor and nutritional benefits of food. I put garlic in hot oil before putting it to caramelize the onions.
As mentioned earlier, garlic enhances the immune system and a healthy immune system has the ability to fight cancer. Scientific research in humans and animals have shown that garlic has the ability to reduce cancer cell formation. Garlic compounds that block cancer-causing form, and slow the growth of tumor cells. Garlic is particularly useful in blocking the esophagus, breast cancer, stomach, prostate and bladder cancer. Studies have shown that compounds in garlic also have the ability to reduce tumor size by half.

Hi, flagella08. This is great insightful information here! I love garlic too. All of my seasonings have garlic in it. Yesterday, I cooked eggs with garlic powder. It was delicious! My grandmother also eats garlic too. She loves the garlic that has the stems on it. It looks like a bulb. I call it, "garlic bulb."

I don't mind garlic in my meal @ lunch but my tummy cannot tolerate it in the evening meal. I was on a garlic kick for a while and then I got heartburn from it and every time I eat it. My hubby just started taking Garlic suppliments a few days ago, I'm wondering if ingesting the pill would have a diff reaction to me than the actual raw garlic does?

hi flagella08.
when i was a kid i never really liked garlic. i didn't like the smell of it much less the taste so i shunned away from any dish that has lots of garlic. when i grew up and started eating lots of spicy foods and dipping my food in spicy sauces i began to appreciate garlic. when i learned about the health benefits of garlic, i started eating more of it even munching on toasted garlic. lol!
anyway, one thing to note is that after eating garlic, one should always, always remember to brush otherwise, your breath is going to stink. hahahaha!!!
cheers to garlic!

It's also a great antibiotic. I sometimes can't believe that cooking shows only put 1 or 2 cloves or garlic. I put in almost half a head of garlic when I make things like a pasta. I'd fry them to a crisp and put it in an omelet :D

Hi, flagella
I love garlic too. I like my dishes to be garlicky. Love the smell. It's just a plus that it has health benefits. But, of course, just like everything else in this world, too much of it is not good.
Have a nice day!

My husband loves garlic a lot. He uses a lot of garlic for the dishes he cooks. I like garlic too, but I don't prefer garlic to be the most prominent taste in the dishes I cook. I know that garlic is very good for health. It is also very good to kill the germs in our stomach. My Mom used to give us cooked garlic to eat to fight against germs when we were kids.

Thanks for sharing the health benefits of garlic. I love garlic too and now that I know its health benefits, I will have more reasons to include it in our meals. My husband and I both enjoy foods cooked with lots of it. Our favorite pasta dish only has olive oil and lots of garlic as its main ingredients. We also love it freshly crushed over a native vegetable dish with sweet salty peanut sauce. We also enjoy it with lots of cheese and mushrooms on pizza!

Hi,
I like to put lot of garlic into my dishes. It give a good smell to the food.
even my son also love to eat garlic.
Garlic has been used medicinally for many years for treating bites, tumors, ulcers, snakebite, wounds, headaches, heart diseases, cancer, pimples, measles and many more. It also prevents infections such as the common cold, cough because of its Anti-bacterial, Anti-fungal and Anti-viral property.
Garlic contains a range of compounds including "Allicin", which is a pungent oily liquid that gives crushed garlic cloves their characteristic smell, and has been shown to be the antibacterial agent due to its active sulphur. Raw garlic is very smelly, so in order to reduce it smell, you can simply add it to your gravy, salad dressings, to soup, yummy pizza or just garnish it before serving or have it in your own style.
Contra-indications/precautions:
1. Do not consume more than three to four raw cloves of garlic a day.
2. Patients having heart and other problems should take medical advice before consuming it.
3. It's best to avoid garlic before any surgery because it could probably disturb Anticoagulants.
4. Asthma patients should not use it as it worsens the symptoms of Asthma.
5. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend not using physically on the affected area. Raw garlic can burn delicate skin! Do not use directly on skin if your skin is sensitive or susceptible to rashes or other skin reactions without consulting your doctor first. People who are or may be allergic to garlic or any of its sulfur compounds shouldn't try direct garlic application on skin too.

Seriously you really love garlic I actually am the opposite because I never have been a big fan of garlic. Actually for me when I smell it I actually feel really sick I always feel light headed and I feel like I am going to throw up not the best feeling in the world. Still right now I have to put up with the smell because I have to peel it, cut it, and put it in my dogs food because it needs it even though my dog doesn't like garlic very much it's good for her. Still I don't know how much I can bear with it because the smell stays on my hands even though I try to wash it off the smell is still there and it makes me really stick so either I am going to stop or make my brother or anybody else do it. Still I think everybody in my family does not like the smell or taste of it except for my mom she does like it in some foods, but garlic is not for me. Yes garlic is good for ones immune system, but I think for me it's best to stay as far away from it as possible even right now I can still smell the garlic on my hands and it's making me sick and sweaty and making my forehead hot too. It's amazing what garlic is capable of to keep all the cancer away and reducing tumor size by half I actually never knew it was capable of that. Still I don't think that I have what it takes to be around garlic I first found this out when my teacher told me to peel some garlic and I instantly felt sick even though my teacher didn't believe me and thought I was just making up excuses to get out of it boy was she wrong. I ran out to go use the restroom to throw up because like I said I can't be around garlic for long. Even though right now I think I am getting more used to it, but it still makes me sick. Happy mylotting.

I also love garlic in my food. One thing I like to do in the summer is take a ripe tomato and chop it up. Then I take some basil leaves and a clove of garlic and chop them up together. I add them to the chopped up tomatoes and then add some olive oil and salt. Then I toast some bread and put the tomato and garlic mixture over the top.
In the winter I eat some raw garlic when I feel the first symptoms of a cold.

Taking so much of garlic is also not good for our health. But while preparing if there is no garlic in the food ,then there wont be taste in the food.Especially, while preparing chicken curry, garlic is most. Then only I enjoy taking food.
