Recently, I've been reading a lot about natural home remedies and products from your kitchen which you can use to enhance your beauty. Lol. As of the moment my hair is full of mayonnaise, wrapped in a cling wrap. They said it's like a hair treatment & will make your hair shiny. First time I tried it. I can't wait to see the result. Oh I tried cucumbers before that you place on top of your eyes to relax it and it feels good... So, can you share some more beauty secrets from your kitchen that you've tried and proven good.

A must in every kitchen is honey.
Honey with warm water first thing in the morning helps you keep slim and trim.
A teaspoon of honey first thing in the morning can actually cut down your myopia or lenses number down drastically.
Honey and milk spary in the hair for 15 minutes is the best tonic for soft and managable hair.
Honey on the face for 15 minutes will keep it glowing and clean.
And honey instead of Sugar is the best remedy for all your worries.

How very interesting to know about honey. If I put it in my green tea in the morning instead of warm water, would it still work?

I have tried the mayonnaise in the hair. Have also tried olive oil. Both were extremely hard to wash out of my hair. I had to shampoo several times to remove it, but I've heard a lot of people who swear by both.
I like to put a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and use it for a leave in rinse for my hair and skin. It helps remove the shampoo residue and leaves the hair shiny. It's also good for your scalp to keep it from flaking (some forms of dandruff).
Some people whip up egg whites for a facial mask to help tighten and tone the skin. I've never tried that. I like oatmeal (I grind it in my herb grinder)mixed with just a bit of water and coconut oil for a facial mask. It's cleansing, toning and moisturizing. I rinse this off with the vinegar water mentioned above.

I want something to share to you Marichris, after you try your home remedies for your hair. Try this one after a week.
Home Remedies for the Scalp to have a healthy hair.
1/2 cup olive oil or castor oil
12 pcs. aspirin, (powdered)
The olive oil will take care or responsible for the strand of our hair ,while the aspirin helps to remove the deadly skin in your hair.
Before shampoo your hair, put the mixed ingredients on to your scalp, massage gently for a 1 minute, afterwards, wrap your hair carefully. Do not remove it for 20 minutes. Just relax until the time is over, after that shampoo your hair, let it dry naturally or with the help of air coming from elecric fan, comb your hair, this time you can feel the soft of your and will recognize that your hair is more shiny than before.

I can't but I can say that there are bound to be many many more as years before the idea of cosmetics and all these blemish removers came out, housewives came together and thought up different ways to get theirselves beautiful by what they knew about what's in the food they eat, lol.

Hi friend,I like only natural ingredients used to beautify ourselves.I dont believe in other things which they use in the parlours and the effect which is not long lasting.Only by using natural ingredients ,we will get a good effect and there will not be any side effects too.So I always prefer only ingredients from the kitchen,I apply milk cream for my face mixed with lime and curd.Apply for one week and certainly you can see a glowing effect on your skin. For my hair I have oil massage twice a week by heating the til oil with pepper and garlic and wash it with leaves powder which we pluck from the hills once a year and powder it.It has a cooling effect for our eyes and head. You go into a very deep sleep on the days which you have this oil bath. Thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

I've used mayonnaise as a hair treatment for years and it works better than any conditioner that I've ever purchased. I routinely use ground oatmeal as a cleanser, a comination of vinegar and water as a toner and baby oil as a moisturizer. There are a number of websites that offer recipes for natural skin care. Another thing that I like to do is to make a mask using avocado to use on my skin once a month. I have very sensitive skin so I went to natural products because I had so much difficulty finding skin care products that didn't break out my skin. One last thing, I use an egg white mask once a week to soften and tighten my skin.

I just wanted to ask how much mayonnaise you used, and how long did you have to leave it in your hair. I'd also like to hear how it worked once you have finished and would you do it again?
