Honesty always does you good?

Dishonesty does not pay and it earn you no reward but a punishment. Honesty is the best policy.

Telling the truth or being honest is not always good thing.Sometimes you should lie so that you don't hurt the person.As for me I don't really know to tell lie to my parents,everytime I open my open, only the truth flows out but I sometimes lie to people so they don't get hurt.

I think honesty always pays off. I hate to be lied to abpout anything no matter how small or how latge. I don't have any time for people who lie tome, period.

I agree with 1xiaoweiwei. Everything has two sides, a good and bad side. Honesty is always the way to go because everybody deserves the truth, and no matter how painful the truth is, knowing it and understanding it would always help in acceptance and healing. The truth shall set you free right? The truth shall set those who want it freedom from the box of lie they are in. However, it always depends on how anyone would accept the truth. It could set them free, or it could also make them regress more from the reality. This is sad, but there are people and situations where they would not be able to handle the truth. So to know if you should tell the truth, you have to assess the situation and the persons involved. And if you deem that you should tell them the truth, then do it. But if you feel that the truth would devastate more than it could heal, then it's up to you what you're going to do with it.

Honesty, if is in a constructive purpose, it shouldn`t make us feel bad. But it depends on how is it told, if someone is telling you the truth in a rude way, or bad way, it can be bad for you, it can make you feel hurt.

No it really depends on the context, sometimes the truth can hurt people so it's best to keep your mouth shut. However telling the truth for someone's own good can also help, for example if someone you know smells you can tell them in a friendly manner that they do and maybe they could do something about or they'll go around stinking and most likely being unaware of it. I would appreciate if someone told me the truth but if it's not too important and I'd be happier not knowing then I don't want to know! But honesty is usually good.

Of course,every coin has two side.We should observation a things double side. So I think is on depends. When you lie white lies,can you say honesty is bad or a goood characteristic? As friends,you lie others,we can say at that moment honest is a good characteristic!But we cannot concluded the first situation(white lie) the honest is good,opposition at that second honesty is bad for others!
