How to use sites like digg and stumble upon

Im new at using these sites I would like to use sites like these to promote my articles but don't no how it works
hope to get some ideas and tips on how to best use these sites. Thanks

Just fill out your website in the form write a small piece of text about it ( using your main keywords which you have researched, if you didn't research and use your keywords both on and off your site you've skipped an important step in the SEO process), tag it according to your research keywords.
Additional help is provided by the help section of the websites.
In order to get digg's and stumbles make friends on the websites and ask people to stumble/digg your content.
