job offer with too low salary

Earlier I started a discussion about my difficulty in getting a job in Odesk. An online friend of mine referred me to a different site (not Odesk). At last I found a client. After rigorous online interviews the client offered me a job at $2 per hour. Prior to that same client was offering me an online bookkeeping job combined with virtual assistance. But I think he/she hasn't decided on it yet because he/she mentioned that he/she has until end of August to decide on that. Now he is offering me a job which I think is temporary or just to get to know my skills which will last for 60 days. What should I do? First, I'm not sure if the job is simply data entry or something will require accounting skills or research work. Second, I feel $2 is quite low for an accounting/research work. I badly need a part time job now. Should I still negotiate the price or simply accept the job. If I negotiate a higher price how much should that be?

If you want you can hire me and paid me around $1 per hour and you take the other half of it and find another job while I'm doing the rest of yours, this is what others do in odesk they called this technique work smart. They hire some one to do the job and they paid them half of what they earnings.

I've been thinking about that also which I hope to be done in the near future. So I should have more clients by then. I'll contact you if the need arises.

If I would earn 2$ per hour in a part time job, that would be a good amount for me. I do believe your just starting out in this new program similar to odesk right? If this site works like odesk, I assume that employers would give their employees a rating right? I suugest you grab the opportunity, work hard on it and do your best. You will be doing this not for the money but for the reputation you would be building in this site. Good reputation is equal to more employers that will trust you and is also equal to more jobs, high paying ones. Consider this first job as a sacrifice, a stepping stone.

That was my plan with Odesk. But in this site, I'm not sure if there's a feedback feature like that of Odesk. But I believe that I could somehow earn a good reputation here also.
