What TV show do you wish was never cancelled?

A TV show's life span in dependent on the ratings and the network it is on, and on occasion what the network execs think it's potential is. It never has anything to do with fans or even plot.
I of course I am a Browncoat so Firefly goes without saying.
I also wish Sarah Connor Chronicles never got axed as I'm still dying to find out what happens to John in the new time line and is mankind not as strong because of his leap?
Space: Above and Beyond, Earth 2 and Prey also go on this list.
Finally, My Own Worst Enemy had so much potential, it was action/spy too which should have made it more mainstream. Same with Flash Forward and Traveler. They should have held a bigger base and I wish a cable station had them instead of the BIG three.
The sap in me would also add New Amsterdam - but only if they ended it with Eva as the ONE.
A show that was on for a bit longer but I still wish wasn't canned is Farscape.
What show do you miss/feel was canceled unjustly?

My two are Kyle XY because the way they ended it was so horrible and what makes me even madder is the fact they didn't even give it an ending they just ended the season and then axed it :( and my other one is Heroes

While I'm glad Doctor Who is back, I'm still mad that it got axed back in the "good ol' days"!
Classic Trek - DARN it!
The Man From UNCLE... tho they kept futzing with it until was killed...
yeah, the roomie wishes Farscape hadn't been shafted by SciFi
We are currently mining it for names for cats, Zhaan, Rygel, Jool

I also find Farscape as a good place to mine pet names.
I had a friend who had a pair of Black Labs, Aeryn and Chrichton.
One of my current dogs is named:
Copper (Fox and the Hound) D'Argo (Farscape) McKay (SGA)

Rygel, the white-eared cat in my avatar, used to eat with his ears to the side - like the muppet - when he was a kitten. Jool was found behind a dumpster because she hollered and alerted the person that found her - she had quite a voice... her new owner, tho she renamed her "Kiki" says she's still a cat of many opinions - and not afraid to let you KNOW about them... Scamp, my black cat, is also a cat of many opinions - all of them BAD! And Zhaan, well, she's blue...

Enterprise, because it was the last Star Trek show, Brisco County Jr., because we never found out what the orbs were about, Twin Peaks, because we never found out what the White Lodge was all about, Life, because we never found out who the real killer was, Jericho, becaus w never found out who started the war or why, Primeval and Survivors (BBC America) because they were good shows, and the Pretender because Jarod never found his parents,

I had a hard time picking the best You won because PLOT. You gave an answer that also listed plot reasons why.

Heroes, espically since they left it open for another series because they were so sure there was goin to be another. The ratings were not even that bad, it just cost alot more to make than normal tv series because of all the special effects.
Atleast with heroes they are goin to make a movie to tie up all the lose ends.

I think that there are many shows that have been taken of the air unjustly like Kyle Xy and Heroes, i would say Prison Break but the writers explained that they had nothing else to do with the plot that is why it got canceled, as for Kyle XY i find it unfair that it got canceled without the show execs having the decency of giving it an end, and Heroes because i think the writers got to a point where they didn't know how to write anymore, and if it had been written correctly that show could have had numerous seasons

The rumor on Kyle XY is that no one was told it was canceled, they showed up for work to find it closed. THAT has to be the most mismanaged cancellation ever.

I think Arrested Development was one of the shows that I felt was unjustly canceled. The show was beautifully written and really hit on a lot of great comedic issues. The cast was perfect but just didn't catch on with the viewing audience.

Hi, Hosh_Reed. I wished that Beyond and Belief: Fact or Fiction, The Hitchhiker, Saturday Nightmares, Are You Afraid Of The Dark? would have never went off the air. I also miss my favorite soap opera, Passions on NBC.. I love this show, it used to keep me laughing all of the time.

Pushing Daisies is a show that I loved that got canceled way too early. It never really got a chance to, well, end, either.
I wish Aaron Sorkin didn't stop writing the West Wing. I know it's not the same as canceling, but the first four seasons were awesome. The rest, well, has its moments, but is nowhere near as good.

Oh there are so many but there are three that I can think of right now. They are Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, and the Witches of Eastwick. These were all good show and they replaced them with garbage. I just don't understand what the producers are thinking. The average consumer does not want to see stupid reality shows. I believe there are more reality TV then regular TV shows on now. All because its cheaper to produce then a regular show.

I wish Buffy the Vampire Slayer was never canceled. I loved that show. I had never missed a single episode. I loved the plot, the action, and the dialogue. Not to mention, Sarah Michelle Gellar was my favorite actress. Plus, David Boreanaz was hot there. Until now, I still miss that show.

Definitely Stella. It only ran for one season, ten episodes, and I think it deserved better. It's a pretty absurd show and I know not everyone is into it, but I thought it was really hilarious and refreshing (except for two episodes that were total bombs.)
I'm also still dealing with the fact that Mystery Science Theater 3000 will never come back. I miss Trailer Park Boys too.

I wish six feet under didnt have to end. I thought that was probably the best piece of television id ever saw. It was truly brilliant. I knew it had to end and Im just glad it ended in the way it did. One of the most poignant endings to a television series ever! I loved it really. pure genius.

I just don't have time to list all of them since there are so many. Just recently there is Legend of the Seeker which was only on in syndication, Flash Forward, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse(especially Dollhouse) and many more. Going back farther I could include Firefly, New Amsterdam, and many more that I can't even remember the names right now.

it would have to be the chappelle show for me. it was disappointing when his show was canceled but it wasn't the usual cancellation. he signed a $55 million dollar contract with comedy central to continue doing the show but suddenly he disappeared and no one could find him. it turns out he was somewhere in africa when he was suppose to be filming new episodes. he basicly quit and walked away from the show. i loved his show and it really made me laugh. i was sad to see it go.

I, not only me but most of the people prefer the travel and living show. I love the programs in the TV show. Mostly the different varieties of food, that i have never seen in life. I do get to see in the TV show. Just enjoy the types of program-ms brings in this show. The beautiful places, where people hanged around with their best partners. Getting the best memories stuck in the heart after their tour. This TV show should never be get cancelled, for the god's sake.

Professionally...I think none of the TV shows would have been canceled "if they had the potential to rake in the revenue a producer feels is healthy"...Once the producer gets the feeling that the show is going down...the trp's would be the cue...they call it off...it's as simple as a producer of a movie who's trying to fund a film that is "bound to fail"..that is simple and dangerous...commercially....if you like a serial and you think that it was taken off the air prematurely...well there's a reason for that, from the producer...it's time to come up with something new....and that's is life...
