Chicken feed. The staggering amount is the latest update of USA's national debt. This is as of the 4th of July. Ironically, independence day. This is not freedom. We should be sovereign and also free from debt. Agree??

I certainly agree. Freedom is not dedicating good portions of your lives to jobs that you hate, earning wages that are barely enough to pay your bills. The government has tried to make it seem as though we would be completely helpless without them but are we truly better off with them? I would have to say that the money system and the way our country has come to be setup is more of a clever and fear imposed scam forced upon people that are so worried about trying to survive with shelter and food for their families that they aren't able to truly contemplate the nonsense that we face on a daily basis. Great discussion my friend, I agree with you 100 percent.

If everyone in the united states, all 300 million plus, donated $100 a month for 50 years we would be out of debt. Our debt is weighed heavily by the revolutionary war and the rest is inflation and other projects to help the us

That would be a nice thing for America to be free of debt. But since American economy is very dependent on debt, it might not function otherwise. Not only is the national debt in the trillions, but i would not be surprised if the combined indiviual debt of its citizens is much less than that. Think about it. A very large percentage of college graduates going into the workforce for the first time have huge student loan debts even before they start. Not to mention how the working poor live hand to mouth depending on that credit card to help pay the groceries. It seems that there is no end.
