There are so many travel spots here in the Philippines, but what is the most beautiful? I've been to boracay before, and yes it is beautiful! The very fine white sand beach.... But I haven't been in palawan or camsur before. What can you say about it?

Hi, It's not a beach site, but we went to one of the resorts near Taal volcano last year and the mountains and scenery were definitely beautiful and still pristine--I highly recommend it.

We stayed at a place called Canyon Woods Vacation Club--it is a timeshare, so I don't know if they have rooms for non-timeshare owners, but there are several other hotels at or near Taal. The one that I remember as "the" hotel is the Vista--we ate lunch there, and saw a show involving traditional types of Philippine dance. We have actually been to Taal twice--once for several days, and once as a day trip from Manila, which is another option, since it is easily accessible by car. Taal is a well-known tourist spot, and I did a quick search on travel sites this morning (Travelocity, Expedia, Philippine tourist sites) and there are several hotel/tour options for Taal. One note of caution--Taal, which is dubbed "the world's smallest volcano", and which has been dormant, has apparently been showing signs of activity this summer. Might add some excitement to a visit!

El Nido Palawan is the best place I have ever been here in the Philippines and I have already been in a lot of places in the Philippines such as Boracay, Bohol, Coron, Dipolog, Baguio, Puerto Galera, and many more but nothing has ever beaten El Nido in my book. The fine white sand beaches there are superb and beats Boracay hands down so if there is one place that I could recommend, it is definitely El Nido.

I've been to Boracay, Palawan and Camsur before and I can honestly say that they are not the only one who have the best beach. Try going to Coco Beach in Puerto Galera. Their accommodation and amenities, for me, are the best. Aside from the normal aircon room, they have Hilltop cottages which offer a fantastic view of the sea & the surroundings. The cottages are furnished with a queen size bed, hammocks, separate bath and toilet, hot and cold water and a balcony.

I would love to visit the Philippines in the future. I know it is an excellent place to go for island hopping and snorkeling around coral reefs. I think that I would fly into Cebu and then catch a ferry over to Bohol Island. There I would be able to see the Chocolate Hills. I would probably visit a beach with palm trees so it might be Boracay plus another less touristy beach. I would fly over to Palawan for an amazing adventure.

I like to recommend Bohol and Cagayan de Oro, and Camiguin to you. In Bohol the beaches there are fantastic too. You are going to enjoy the river cruise and the site seeing of the chocolate hills. In Cagayan de Oro you are going to enjoy the white water rafting. In Camiguin the water fall and the hot spring.

hi damned-dle,
For Beach destination-
I'll give 5-stars Palawan, most especially Coron islands. My stay there was FUN, FUN,FUN.
I'll 4-stars each for Boracay,Bohol, Davao, Cebu and Pagudpud.
3-stars for Pangasinan, La Union and various beaches on the coastline of Ilocos Sur and Norte.
I still need to go to Cam Sur or Bicol region to take a peak of their beaches.:)

The place that I would want to go back to is Dos Palmas in Palawan. It's a private island near Honda Bay. I still couldn't forget the time I tried snorkeling near the island and saw big... I mean really big schools of fishes by just snorkeling. I've tried diving before but this place has the most aquatic animals that I've ever seen in my life!
I also get to experience swimming with 3 sharks inside a small enclosed part in the island and it's really unforgettable. Too bad I heard from somebody that they already removed it. :(
I'll definitely go back there next time :).

The most famous is Boracay because of the fine sand and the night life. The island is so alive everyday that's why a lot of people like it. In Palawan it's not that crowded unlike Boracay yet the place has a lot to offer specially the best resort. Camiguin and Cagayan is best for adventure, it is also cheap to travel in this location. I think all places has something to offer, it only depends to what type of personality you are that fits the place.
