it's a little frustrating. i miss the old school Dracula. i kind of hate Twilight for the cheesy vampire Cullen. i don't think i really mind about them falling in love, it's just that they still have to act like real vampires. i don't know, Twilight is just too cheesy for me.

I don't like Twilight much either, but if you want old school vampires with a modern twist, check out the Hellsing Manga by Kouta Hirano. It's very good, and it actually keeps everything interesting.

I do enjoy vampire novels especially those by Anne Rice and Stephanie Meyer and their movie adaptations. Creative writers always have a way of placing their plots and characters in different lights to have that unique quality. It's the only way to differentiate their work form the other writers and make them stand out. These are the ones I look forward to and hopefully they'll have more works and new plots on the way.

I guess it all started with Anne Rice, but i like her vampires they are good looking but very cunning, tricky and some are evil. They are very strong but cannot survive under the sun. With twilight i have not read the book but i saw one of the movie no offense to those who love it but i think the i glow under the sun is kinda lame. I thought he is going to turn into a walking skeleton or a very old man or a monster at least when the sunlight hits him.
Being a vampire is supposed to be a curse and right now in most vampire series the only curse i see is that they fell in love with a human girl and their vampire relatives don't think its a good idea.
I love vampires but with the over exposures people might get tired of them.

I hate the modern versions of vampires. Vampires should be undead monsters. Nowadays they're love interests for teenage girls. Why a 100 year old vampire would want a high school girl makes no sense to me. But this how we sell books and movies.

Vampire romance novels has existed since the 70s... you just didn't notice it until now.
Personally... I hate vampires. For as long as I've hunted for fantasy novels (which would be pretty much my whole life) there's always been more novels about vampires than any other mythical creatures ever imagined. Which is DARN ANNOYING! Vampires have always been popular, it's just a little more obnoxious right now than it usually is. Personally, I can't wait for the mermaid craze. It's long overdue.

I absolutely despise this whole vampire outburst. I get really annoyed when people come up to me and ask me...so are you going to watch the new twilight movie...did you see vampire diaries last night...blah blah. I just ignore and walk away. Vampires are overrated thanks to twilight and all those other vampire series. D: They ruined vampires.
