30 second speech by Bryan Dyson - Former CEO of Coca cola
" Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. They are Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you are keeping all of these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls - Family, Health, Friends and Spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, ncked, damaged or even shattered. they will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it."
Isn't it nice?! This statement was an eye opener for me. Spending too much time working, working hard to earn much money for my family. But still at the end of the day, it is still important to have a work-life balance. we don't need to spend too much time in the office, let's keep in mind that there are many people around us wanting a special time with us. Don't miss this precious chance to spend your quality time with your loved ones.
Work efficiently during office hours and leave time. Give the required time to your family, friends and have proper rest
Value has a value only if its value is valued!

That is one of the best thing I have ever read in mylotting. The five balls and the example is amazing. When we were small, books and school was everything. The assignments, the homeworks etc was our world. When we joined the office, work became everything. We have been doing all these. There are people who needs time, the family, friends etc. However the work and the pressure under which we need to work have taken out the time which otherwise we would have spend with our loved ones. World is all of competition and we need to prove that we are worthy of keeping the job in the organisation. The best way to is make sure that the family and friends understand the importance of the work.

that's right ashton77, I thought that if I do good in my work everything else will folllow. So I dedicated and devoted my time in my work and career having in mind that this is for my loved ones, This statement struck me so much. People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. In our effort to be good in our career we neglect something the things that are so precious in our lives, the main reason of our existence in this world is to be a good companion for the people that sorrounds us. When we grow old and retired, our co workers, bosses doesn't care where we are, what we are doing or how are we. Our family, friends and God is our lifetime companion in this journey called life.
Work is just a stage in our life when we get a chance to discover what the real world is, we learn so many thing in life at this stage, but this stage in our life is temporal. We should value things that is eternal, the real hapiness that we will get in the presence of the person closest to us and also with God.
