I have nothing against celebrities or other prominent people who always get some recognition one way or another. i want them to be happy in life, not only in their line of work but also in their personal life. only that i just noticed how often they get special attention in almost every thing that they do from other people. just like if they do some ordinary things, they still get special attention about it and every ordinary events in their lives turn out to be one big news and of special interest to other people. i do understand why in a way but i still wonder sometimes why do people do give such attention to celebrities and have to treat them like some special people. i am just amazed the fascination of people to people who are or may be richer and more popular than them and don't treat kindly other people just because they are no special people nor are they in such prominent position or not a celebrity in any way.

This is also one thing that makes me wonder. Why do people specially those who are economically challenged to act this way? I don't think it is a matter of culture or tradition. I beleieve that it is more on the the level of self-esteem of those who give special treatment to these celebrities and other important people. In first world countries, they do not give special attention and/or treatment to their celebrities or other perceived important personalities. During one of my travels abroad, I saw first hand a member of parliament (senator/congressman to us) who had to fall in line just to buy a sandwhich. I even saw one in the flea market who was carrying a plastic bag full of vegetables, with no security escorts or aides. I beleive people who give special treatment/attention to these so-called VIPs have a very low self-esteem that they are willing to give anything just to please these people. It is a form of acceptance that these VIPS are more deserving than they are. I guess it is time for all of us to re-examine ourselves. God gave us all of the things in this world not only for VIPs but for everyone to enjoy. You can always give them the respect (which they should earn anyway) in a different way and not only by giving them special treatment.

i think it is time for even ordinary people to be given importance also when they go to some public place, i mean that they should not be shunned by some establishment just because they don't have much money unlike some famous people. that i think that business establishment should give special privileges also to not so rich people so that in a way we will have a society that does not different between rich and poor and that rich and poor people can go in one place with out making feel the poor people uncomfortable.

I myself am puzzled at times. I believe these people are just humans like each and everyone of us so I dont think they have to get special treatments like serving them first in restaurants or letting them in first and bypassing a line. I think it's unfair. But that's just me.
